omg!! after firmware update the pics still cant b sort in Media and the top slide button to view pics...this is driving me crazy!!
i use picture for the bakground, sometimes it show up sometimes it juz display theme wallpaper...
Maybe you should try to do what i described earlier to get rid of that problem. Roll back the firmware on Da Vinci.com and then re-flash on SEUS. That was the only way i could resolve my "operation failed"-problem(no java). Check my earlier posts here and the answers i got if you are unsure.
I've been up all night fixing this so i'm throwing in the towel for today.
Over and out. |

Help, I need advice. It says update available and it downloaded it once, now my phone is not updating, it stops on 0% of flashing process and says flashing failed. What should I do? I have tried restarting the comp, hard resetting the phone... Nothing helps. Could it be a problem in downloaded fw?
btw, it's apac china.
Anyone? |

Hong Kong Customised (unbranded) R1EA031 is out lol.
Dl at 59%
I flashed my Voda 029 to HK Cust 037 via DaVinci so it proofs that SEUS works after the update lol.
Now waiting for XS++...
Also, I noticed that my phone randomly restarts when I use a particular network provider. If I use another one, it never occurs...so it might be network dependent (I am talking abt 037 here...)
Updating now at 36%

i updated to R1EA031 prg12004404_CHINA_SO R1EA031 one hour ago.
After starting the phone it rebooted once.
I observed:
1. Themes are now set in lesser time than earlier (on R1CA037)
2. Backspeaker sound is more loud and clear now.
3. Handsfree volume is also a bit increased.
4. Media speed is a bit improved and less lag in menu while media is
minimized.
5. Now there is "List Option" for messages.
6. You have three options under "GSM/3G networks"
GSM and 3G
GSM only
HSDPA
7. Key Response under Sound & alerts. Touch (key) Options are added here
Silent
Click
Tone
Vibration
8. Media Player now loads up the card quite quickly.
9. New animation while viewing pictures in the media.
10. Photo Fix option added in Media.
11. Camers starts up quite quickly.
12. EQ & Volume bug is now fixed
13. Wait for the news update.
The bug i found is that if you're browsing any file (audio, pic etc) in the file manager and you press "6" once (for the letter 'm') it will highlight the file starting with "L". similarly if you want to find a file starting with "j" and you press the key "5" it will go to the file starting with "i".
what's rubbish is this??? i didn't it have on R1CA037
Other than that the phone is working quite fine (but i can't feel any speed improvements in the menu's.) Its just fine as it before.

I just updated my K850i to the new version "R1EA031 prg12004404_CHINA_SO R1EA031" and some problems that I have experienced so far:
- After the update tried to use the Laser Precision theme but the flash icons won't show up. Does anyone have this problem? And if it can be fixed can you post it?
-HSDPA showed up in the GSM/3G area and than disappeared after a restart/setting reset.
- The damn T9 mode doesn't work with the English dictionary. Try to type with the T9 mode a word "Hey" and it will start and after you press the button it will show "H*" and after that it will show Word not found in dictionary. Any fixes for this?
If anyone has any fixes please post them here! Thanks!
1. No, Laser Precision theme and flash icons are just as earlier. (no prob)
2. T9 mode works fine and no problem with the word "Hey" (lol) or with anyother word.
Did you even read the post?
Whatever i observed was not the bugs... they are the characteristics of the new firmware and are very fine.
Ok so now just read the post again and edit ur post. lol |

Just some info for Australian k850i users. I did have the latest -031 Hong Kong uncustomised firmware on my phone, but decided to reflash back to "K850i R1CA037 CID52 K850 1202-8494 CUSTOMIZED AU/BLUE APAC-ANZ" with Davinci in the hope it would update to -031 via SEUS.
When I connected to SEUS, it said I had the latest firmware, but when clicking 'Continue Anyway' it puts the -031 firmware on the phone - so latest firmware after all!
Hope this helps some other tentative Aussie users out.

Overall the new firmware improved the device a lot !
But there are two annoying bugs (even a new one):
I can't change the volume for my HBH-DS220 from the mobile. The volume rocker is changing the volume meter, but the real volume in the headset says the same. It does work fine with the HPM-70 and even with the HBH-DS200 for voice calls. Not for music tough.
Wehn connected via USB my 8GB SDHC card is shown as 0bytes available. So i am unable to writ to it via USB (telephone and Media mode). It works great in mass-storage-mode though.
My 2gb M2 works fine.. Looks like an issue with minSDHC cards..
Anyone able to confirm ?!
Thanks for your help |

hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm R1EA031 IS NO ALFA DRIVER...R1EA031 IS A TEST DRIVER..........AND IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME, CALL SUPPORT !!
THE NEW upcoming K850 FIRMWARE WILL START WITH R1C...
they even told me to NOT install R1EA031 on my unbranded k850, they said its coming a new real firmware to k850, named: R1C.......
thats why EMMA dosent give you R1EA031 if you try to uppdate with a unbranded k850...EMMA give you R1CA037 becuase there is NO new firmware !!!!!

That`s good ... because this firmware maybe ok is little faster and sound is much better but it has some bugs that makes me furious ... So if you say like that ... maybe you know something about release time ? of course not a date but anything which month or something ...
