Free gprs will work on those handsets that can handle multiple gprs sessions simultaneously. It s done by passing the firewall at airtel proxy.. Its speed is litte bit good compared to mo since less network traffic, but no pop3, telnet nothing only we got access to port 8080 for http .

hi everybody,
i've developed a website with application for mobile who take xml feed to generate application on mobile. and i would like to find people who test or say me what thay think about this site! it's very serious. to testing you need to subscribe in the beta-test program because for the moment the website is lock, it'll be open only for people who will come to test. i don't know if it's the better solution. for that i wait yor suggestion and what you think about that. you WIN 200 SMS if you test mob-it.

Not necessarily.....what you speak of entirely operator dependent....for e.g a the 99/- wap package from Orange in Mumbai allows you wap access only...no web access...irrespective of whether you have an HTML browser or not.....to enable web gprs or advanced gprs as its called, you need to pay more..

And how the system distinguish between WAPsite & WEBsite? Its the network that have restricted some well-known sites. Like hutch has restricted mcommunity, my-symbian,tagtag etc, AirTel has restricted GEOCITIES!
WAP package mean that you can access anything from your mobile's browser but nothing from PC browser or you can't use any applications. But you can access any web or wap site through mobile. Got it you!

In delhi the mobile office gprs is charged at Rs.499p/m whereas in some of the other metros its a lot cheaper.Maybe they're pricing it upon the user base they hold in a particular area.
