I don't think that u can use free wap/mms may be u can activate ur mms free of cost but then u will be charged for every outgoing mms and about wap i don't think its free as when i have low balance at times when it tries to topup my wap a/c it just deactivate my account..so 99/- permonth is a compulsory i guess

correct me if i am wrong

@vinod. You are right. Free gprs is fluke. It will come into payroll next month. Or suddenly you end up in minus balance. Btw it is no longer gprs settings. It is airtel net setting that works. Rest all wont work nor can you complain.

Yep nothing is free on Airtel as of i know
The only free that i ever had is "send an sms MASALA ACTIVE to 121" lol which help my handset to have correct time and date
Lol just a while ago i downloaded "Moblie Office" Settings tho i never sent any sms for its activation

Tho i didn't succeeded in it but the surprise is it doesn't even gave me any error.. as it used to be "server not found"

Hey guys first understand one thing airtel is not programmed to keep negative balance for more than 24hrs. So if u keep ur balance less u wont be charged. For eg if u have balance 50 and download a game for 99 u wont be charged. Now for free gprs my technique works atleast in kerala.Just need a little patience.

Yeah Mrao: But I guess they are gonna have a gala time.. A free Wap thread a day keeps the real ones at bay ! !
What a pity, here we are still with Operator's who charge us for legit services

I tried all these tricks and none worked. Anyway, i don't need free gprs as at 150 rupees a month, its as good as free!

AirTel doesn't have a uniform tariff for its GPRS services. A person using AirTel's GPRS (unlimited access) service in part of Mumbai is paying Rs.5 per day which comes to about Rs.155 per month. For the same service AirTel is charging Rs.250 in Kerala. [b]Tamilnadu AirTel customers are the most affected GPRS customers.[b] In Tamilnadu for the same GPRS service AirTel is charging Rs. 600 per month. Why this vast difference in GPRS tariff. Many Tamilnadu customers are paying this amount with out knowing that they are paying more than double the amount of what a Keralite is paying in the adjacent state of Kerala for the same service.
