for full GPRS internet access you'll need to create a data account and the only setting required is to set the APN to internet
for wap and mms, create a second data account with
APN = wap.vodafone.co.uk
username = wap
password = wap
then in internet settings create a new internet profile. Give it whatever name you want but set the "connect using" to use the wap data account you created
in the setting for that profile now set
internet mode = wap
gateway address = 212.183.137.012
that sets up your wap
for mms go to the picture messaging settings and set the server address to http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms/ and set the internet profile to use the wap data profile created
thats it! unfortnuately I can't give you a step by step through the menu options to get to each setting as my K750 is slghtly different to layout to what I recall in the V800 and the Z800 manual only give a broad overview of the menu layout but this should be enough info for you to suss it out hopefully!

All the different settings that people have said to try do work, but for some reason the http://live.vodafone.com site has no pictures, titles, icons, etc. Just text and hyperlinks. WTF? |

@Johnny,
Make sure you have your phone configured to show images. You have to tell it to do this sometimes. Maybe after you flashed yours, it went back into a default setting.

Tried that, if I go to the SE site it works with pictures, but not on the vodafone live site. Surpose if you want to get rid of all the voda crap, you can't complain about the repercusions.
What about flashing the CDA info to give model V800 instead of Z800i? I read on the forums somewhere that Z800i was not in the list of supported voda-phones? |

Hey Johnny. Quick question.
I decided to take the plunge as well. I can get a z800 for a good price, so I have decided to try and flash my phone. If I screw it up, I will get a z800. If I don't, I will keep it a bit and then get the z800 in a month or so.
Questions:
1. Did you use the cable that came in the box to perform the flash?
2. Did you use Da Vinci and if so, what com port did it select? Was it DSS on com port 5?
Thanks mate.
