Ehm, I forgot which screw goes where, the short and tiny for the MB yeah. And from the picture it seems the longer silver screws goes for top and the shorter grey bottom? You never know if it's different colour for them in other contries though ^^
Thanks for the tutorial, shame I didn't find it before I took my P910 apart I riped the cord on the JogDial and have to send it away for repair anyway.
Unless someone knows a good place to buy spare-parts? |

Mate, this is fantastic. I have just scratch my phone recently...(although it is not a big scratch). But I think I will need a lot of guts to perform such task. |

Thanks for the offer for the original manual on the P900, but I don't think I'll be needing it. I've gotten pretty good and taking my phone apart and putting it back together. I have jumped back and forth between housings a few times and I am fairly good at it now.
About the screws. I can't say for sure which is which. The long black ones hold the covers together. The short silver ones with rounded heads hold that metal plate to the MB and the flatter silver ones hold things to the back of the housing. Thats the best way I can describe the screws.

I have managed to dismantle all of the internal component, but I couldn't dismantle the side cover yet... Anybody can elaborate more on how to pry open the little lumps holding the side cover? I'm prying it as of now... But it just won't come up.
Edit: Never mind... I've managed to tear of the side covers... With dire consequences though... I broke the thin part near the jogdial thingie. But oh well... Sanding complete, now off to paint booth.

Can anybody point me to where I can find a headphone jack for the P910a in the US. I wanted to replace the existing one on the cell 'cause it had gone bad. Or how do I solder the points on the motherboard so that the phone does not look for headphones.
Many thanks to knight4led for detailed instructions on disassembling the phone. |

As I said in the first post, I used acrylic model paint. I put on several layers followed by several layers of acrylic clearcoat to give it some shine and some durability. Just don't lay it on too thick or the phone won't go back together.
To paint the flip, you'll have to pull it apart, which is possible, but I have not done it personally. You will still have gray buttons though.

I put my phone up for sale (well swap) for a w800i yesterday, i managed to drop it running for the train today & now its scuffed like hell! ordered a new casing so i'll let you lot know how it goes!
You dont need a T6 do you? just that a lot of shops that sell casings on eBay are giving T6s away with the casing saying you need it?!
or....does anyone wanna swap my P910i & newly ordered casing for a W800i?!

thank you for this extremely useful guide, i was considering on replacing the casing since mines has a slightly dented corner and a couple minor scratches here and there.
i m still considering the risks on opening it up.. but if i do decide to replace the housing, i will do it soon, anymore tips on taking apart the phone and the keypad for coating?
p.s. one more thing, on ebay, they include T6, T7, and cross screwdrivers along with the black housing covers.. but it seems you didnt need all that, you seemed to just use a generic brookstone screwset, any advice?
