@riffola, no wear here. my phone still sits on it as good as it did the first day. I do notice that if I plug the phone onto the CDS-60 without paying too much attention I can get it a little off vertical so that only one prong is fully inserted and in this way it doesn't charge or connect to the USB.

this has been the case since day 1 though and a bit of correct seating sorts it out quickly

Masseur... again... is it worth the $43 USD I should spend to get it?

well, thats £5 (at least) more than I would spend in UK for this and considering its just a convenience then its up to you if its worth it.

You can achieve 100% exactly the same benefits without it if you have the USB cable and mains charger than comes with the phone in the box, but as a desk stand its just makes things a little neater

get the flash only if you plan to use it a lot
overall the stand is pretty satisfying
i was also worried about only the prongs supporting the phone, but so far it's been fine
$40+ in usd seems a lot
rebirth.

I have the flash too but find I use it very rarely whereas I use the CDS-60 every day.

@masseur, thanks for the info. I used my fingers to tug at the plastic prongs a bit and the phone sits on it snugly now.

[Also I could've sworn I posted a reply to this thread yesterday shortly before the database error message showed up.]

Hey Masseur!

I just got the CDS and when unpluggin the phone I feel like the connector is going to break! I'm afraid of bending it too much!!

What do you say? Do you have any experience like that? How do you remove your phone (I read that someone wrote to 'bend it a little' or something... but I'm too afraid!)

THanks.

no, I haven't experience that.

removing the K750 I just grab the phone and push it backwards a little and it pops off right away

Masseur... again...

Did you try pluggin something besides the handsfree in the handsfree connector? i.e. flash MXE, FM MMR, etc...

I tried with the flash but the put the connector far from the border... I think they saw it coming that a dude would try to do something like that...

The flash would be useless but, I think the MMR would be great cause you could be charging and FMing your music at the same time... don't you think?

In any case, I think that using a prolonger (male-female fast port cable) we could find out it's working...

Hi! I just got my CDS-60. And some how I can't stop thinking, that something isn't right with my version. Or at least, it's not made for my K800i. Few days ago I saw an updated image of the desk stand at amazon.de and on the SE website. It now features some acrylic bracket behind the phone. You can see it in the third post in this thread (you've updated the image, too?). What is this for? Is it possible that SE updated the design to make it work better with the (heavyer) k800i? Should I send mine back?

I see you concern, I recently bought a K800i and I was a little concerned about the stability of the phone when on the stand, On the Sony Ericsson site the stand has an acrylic back/rest but on the se-store.co.uk this is not evident. I want to buy the stand but I want the newer version, I guess there’s now way of really knowing unless you buy it from a high street shop
