Hi, with a new great phone like the K750 and W800 we will be getting some new accessories. But what’s the low down on them? There seems to be little info on SE web site.
The CDS-60 seems to incorporate the old CSS-25 Desk Speaker Stand and Desk Synchronization Stand DSS-25 in one unit. If this is the case where is the speaker holes/outlet. SE web site states there is a speaker. any other features?
Has anyone seen a CDS-60? |

Sony Ericcson CDS-60
A desk stand is a great assistant for your mobile phone, in the office and at home. Connect a charger, a USB cable and a Portable Handsfree to your CDS-60 and you have all you need to charge your phone, transfer files to and from your computer and handle calls.
Charge your phone, transfer files and handle calls with one device
Fast port system connector

I'd say that site is wrong. there are several pages on the site about the accessory but none mention built in speaker

I have already ordered two from expansys. It is a real pain to have to change all of the SE products but i think it has been worthwhile for the updated port. |

Well I have had my CDS-60 (which was ordered direct from the SE UK E-Shop) for about a week now and can confirm 100% there is no speaker.
It has three fastport connectors on it, one for the charger, one for USB and another on the side for a headset.
My biggest issue though is with the new fastport connecter itself - you physically have to hold the base down when removing the phone (otherwise the base and phone just lift together) because you can't just tilt and lift it like you could with the old connecter.
In its favour however is the rather nice green glow (theres a green LED which surrounds the phones connector on the top).
This feature cam as a bit of a suprise as I hadn't seen it working (only static pictures) before I bought it.

@SL33PYH34D
Try push the phone down with your pointing finger while holding the phone with your tumb and long finger. The phone "jumps" out of the connector with this one hand release. Works for me |
