As usual, gbrooks3 comes through again. Hey dude, do you have the Da Vinci software. I decided to use their system as I already have a Sync Station and a PC. My normal computer is a Mac, and I would have to go find a PC with a serial port. So, I need the Da Vinci software and then I can buy the credits.

You can download davinci from www.davinciteam.com

By the way - if someone wants to flash their V800 to Z800 without paying then i sugest you look for R1X019 firmware.

I want to do this. Don't tease me. Where can I get this R1X019?

Uh, okay, but where or who would have these files like this? If you have an idea, please let us know.

Hey guys,

I have just received a brand ne Vodafone brabded v800. I have tried to flash it using Da Vinci. I get an error saying that the phone can not communicate with the client. Anyone have an idea as to what the problem can be? I have tested the DSS-25 and it is found on Com5. I set it to Com5 and the phone starts to talk to the client. Says, that it is ready to send block xxxx/xxxxx, then it says, Unable to send block. Any ideas?

Thanks

Davinci seem to use 'Real' CID 36 firmware to flash - therefore before those files need to be flashed the phone must be recognized as CID36. (This maybe your problem - not sure though )

They dont seem to offer a file to do this but i think it maybe possible with setool. (but i havent tested that yet)

I may be way out though - first sort you connection problem. I suggest you download the DSS 25 drivers from SE and uninstall and reinstall with those ones.

The Da Vinci guys recommend that you use their drivers and even have two files that they say to install over other files. This is listed on the site as a fix to the DSS-25. Does the TMS support flashing of the v800 to the z800. Looks like I will have to try and get my money back from Da Vinci.

i used tms to debrand v802 to z800 r1x019

then i used davinciteam to change r1x019 to r1y005

--------------
now, i have another v802, and using davinciteam, i tried to flash from v802 to r1y005 but it failed..

im thinking that davinci can upgrade z8 r1x019 to r1y005 BUT not v802 to r1y005

-hope they could solve this problem soon. [addsig]

Fact: Da Vinci Team nor TMS can flash a CID 36 v800 to R1Y or z800.

There is just no release for it yet as far as I have heard. There are some pretty good "real" info forums out there that give the real deal about the status of phones. I go there for info about the status of F/W releases and come here just for fun and entertainment.

@ sapporobaby

Which are these REAL websites you talk about?

I have had my phone for over a month now, and even ordered the T28 cable long before I got the phone. Now that I have the cable, I find out that I cannot flash the phone because it is a CID36, what a let-down...

I will PM you the sites. No need to advertise here. Anyway, do not buy anything YET from TMS or Da Vinci. They can not flash the CID36 phones. I have a v800 and I am waiting for the ability to flash as well.
