IMHO, T610 had its own glory time and I was so lucky to be able to own and use it for almost 2 years.

Now, it is the glory time of K750. K750 is an awesome phone to me right now.

Every SE phone has its style and glory time, I cannot compare them just by their appearances.

Thats true but the T610 took a long time to become really popular, it didn't peak for a long time after it was launched.

Voice Activate profile change - there is another thing the K700/S700 cant do

It seems have streamlined the features on some of the newer handsets. I was reading recently, on here, about the K600i bugs and 'can't dos'. It surprised me.

Features and design are not everything in a phone. I have seen many ppl here in the US that are still happily using their T610. One reason is many users in the US want just basic phone functions, SMS etc. But the main reason T68 and T610 are classics is that those phones have a certain feel to ppl that cannot be explained with features or design, etc. Peeps take those phones in their hands and are instantly attracted to it regardless of it's quirks. That is the reason ppl are still using their classic phones regardless of newer band better phones. That is also the reason I still use my T630 and P900. The P900 is just beautiful phone in itself. The shape the form the colour. It's harmony and the feel I cannot explain.

I agree.

Thats why it annoys me sometimes when people compare phones by the listing their features side by side and doing an 'on-paper' comparison. Like the Nokia v Sony Ericsson threads that crop up from time to time.

One might be better on paper but the other will be a much better handset simply because a lot of thought has been put in to how the phone interacts with you - aesthetics and ergonomics.

The design and feel of a handset can never by judged on paper, the user experience is unique to each model.

. . . And as new models were released, the K700i is not that popular anymore. Replaced by the K750i, W8, W9 etc.

MMMMmmm, not sure I agree with you there JN

Considering the T610 has been out since around, what was it, mid 2003? and - someone on here informed me - it is one of the best selling phones in South America last year I would say the t610 is more popular.

@golden - Given some more years .. . I'm certain the peeps by 'then' will still glorify the greatness of the - K700i pal Since I have to adhere to the title of this thread . . . I can 'inject' then that the T610 'only' came 'in' between the POPULARITY the T68i and the P800 models ! Yep, and these two can still be seen around . . . now! [addsig]

the T610's design is a sure winner, simple but always captivating to the eye. most people will have pleasure by just looking at it. sure, the K700i has more superior features, but it doesn't have the looks that makes most people admire it like the T610 does...

Yep, it's a classic alright, just like the T68i, and that's why it's so popular. There's just something about it that makes it different to other phones. The K700i is a great phone - I own one, and had a T610 before it. I miss my T610, but the K700i is "better" in terms of speed and usability.

I agree. The T610 jsut has something. The two colour design, the aluminium bottom cover. IT was handset of the year 2003 and when it came out it was top of the line. The K700 had many problems in the beginning and later was overshadowed by the announced K750.

I have to say that the physical structure of the k7 is farm much better than thd t610, specially the cam at the back. The feel on the keypads on both feels just the same.
