Looking at esato's home page on mobile phone popularity lists, I noticed T610 has been the top no. 1 choice on the list for almost 2 months now until today, it dropped to no. 2, behind P900 (and not P910). Surprise? Sad to say K700 is dropping nearly every week.
If K700 is so... good, why is it not able to claim top spot or achieve better position than T610 which I'm currently using (makes me proud to be one of the user)?

Because the T610 is a lot cheaper and has a lot of interesting features nevertheless. Probably at this point no other phone gives you as much features for your money and no other phone has the distinct, timeless look and practical size as the t610. The K700 is designwise a nice product but also spells 'featurebloat' for a lot of users.

The T610 could go on for a couple of years, appealing not only to the tech-savvy crowd but also to the 'call & text' customer, to whom it delivers also and has the design as unique selling proposition, who might get interested in the new features as well after some time. It is the perfect starter-phone while offering enough features to keep more demanding customers happy.

Only my 2 ct.

Same as t68. I can't even remember how long ago it has been released but is still an attractive phone. It seems that se occasionally develops a model that is unbeatable by time! :-]

Yep, it's a classic alright, just like the T68i, and that's why it's so popular. There's just something about it that makes it different to other phones. The K700i is a great phone - I own one, and had a T610 before it. I miss my T610, but the K700i is "better" in terms of speed and usability.

I agree with DeLa. The T610 is timeless, I mean how hold is this now, 3 years old? and still as popular as ever. More people have a T610 than probably any other phone.

Also, people are still trying to figure out what the k700i can do, where as t610 users are pretty knowledgable on it's capabilities (it is a few years old) and are trading that knowledge. k700i users are still looking for apps to use on their phone. t610 users are creating the apps for their phone. K700 users are trying to catch up.
There are still users on esato trying to figure out if you can video stream on a k700(not to mention it describes how in the manual) and where to go to do it(God knows).

That's exactly the point-best value/money relation. Here it costs 130e and for that money you can't find something even close.
