Thank god I'm not the only one with that problem. But is it recommended to charge the battery with the phone turned off all the time?, does that make a difference in the charge?
Cheers :-)

It's a bit better to charge the battery when phone is off. So the battery does not need to feed the phone at the same time. But I guess, it makes quite a little difference.
But if you use your phone a lot during charging (calls, games, gprs, photo), it may harm your battery performance.

Is it better to wait for the battery to die before charging it or that doesn't make a difference?

most sony ericssons are opmtimised batteries so its NOT nessary to w8 till battery is completely dead b4 u recharge!!!
infact the more u chrge actually improves charging capacity...
but not to say u overcharge it frequently as this may damage ur battery life. |

The past few f/w upgrades fixed the battery issues. No one is going to get more than 4 or 5 days out of their phone, especially when using it. What is the problem with recharging it anyway? Put it on the charge at night and use it in the morning. Second, who cares about standby times anyway? A phone is generally meant to be used. Why bother to have one if you only want it to sit there and look pretty? It's like saying, "oh darn, I have to put gas in my car after letting it idle for 12 hours". Is this really that hard?
