£0.79p - Its good for at home/car/plane/train, no good for walking around unless youve got big pockets.

Anyone has tried the ppc tech adaptor?
This one
I may buy this if this serves the purpose
If someone has a clue, can they tell the behaviour when a call comes in.... do I just leave the adaptor in and pick up the phone just like as in handheld mode?
please advise asap

I actually have, but what am I gonna do with all thos GB of music when the train ride to work is 20 minutes?? 128 Mb will be more than enough, and I don't have to change headsets if I get a call in the meantime...I hope this answers your "question"

Transform your P910/P900!!
Just bought a pair of Sony EX71SLB headphones from Amazon and this baby transforms music listening with my P910 (which I think has better MP3 play back than the P900); the sound quality is fantastic. I use 128bps encoding.

Rfererence these
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=113091
I just bought them from Expansys last week as PCC Tech showed they compatible with P900.
They work great with my P910i & Sony EX71's.
In operation:
-Listening to oggplay
-Phone rings
-Pick up phone and answer as normal talking into phone but you hear them through headphones.
-End call & OggPlay restarts
They are great, far better than the Maplin dongle that sticks out a mile.
@JAH
I bought the White ones from Hong Kong via ebay to match my VAIO TR Excellent for DVD playback

Cool adaptor.
Looks like I'll need to get a 5123MB Duo Pro now that I have discovered I can have quality music on the move. But I have to say my Clie TH55, with a separte DSP chip for music, sound out of this world - better bass and treble control. I know a chap at www.1src.com who uses 196bps encoded MP3 music on his Clie TH55 and hooks it up with his Naim amplifiers!

Have just got the adaptor you mentioned, but I've got a problem, I can hear the sound of calls in my headphones fine, but the phone's mic seems to be deactivated, so I can't actually make calls as you describe. Anyone know how I can get around this? Is there a setting I can change to enable the mic when the headphones are connected? Or do I need to buy the adaptor that includes a mic/answering button of its own? |

Just posted on this on another headphone thread in Esato, great search eh? Anyway one other solution is to solder a neat 2.5mm 3-pole jack to the end of your 3.5mm jack headphones.
rswww.com
do them and it's very easy. As for Oxygen free stuff being better, well yes if you travelling miles with your cable, i.e. your cable is miles long. This myth that Oxygen free is better is just fronted by audio and AV companies to charge you more. There is absolutely NO difference in a cable 1 or 2 metres long that is measureable by the human ear. There is a marginal difference over 1.2 miles but how long is your cable????
I know I am a sound & LX tech in Manchester. So don't be conned!

@ solus
Seems to me that's the best solution - even though you don't get the mic. I want to use my Sony EX71SL on a P900; can u tell me more about the type of jack you used? Was it difficult to solder (I'm a complete ignorant as far as electronics and soldering are concerned!)
Thanks

I use my headphones, from my old Nokia 5510. This phone use a 2.5mm plug, and the sound quality is fantastic.
