There is no meaning, at least not in the sense of mathematical logic and the spacial and temporal dimensionality which we are familiar with. The meaning of life is an argument which simply cannot exist within the confines of our existance; that is, it is impossible to consider without another, common frame of reference. It would be rather like trying to explain a 3rd dimension to a creature which lived within the confines of only 2 dimensions, if that were possible, which of course it is not.

i personally disagree with that, but i'm not gonna argue since i think the meaning of life is what you make of it (or possibly 42, or even to make plastic). there is an ongoing discussion in this thread if you're interested.
@switch: if you truely believe the meaning of life is unattainable then i think i feel a little sorry for you.

No the point im making is that we can never understand the meaning of or reasons for life and existance. The truly sad thing is that some people dont even think about it, and just plod along with a selfish ignorant attitude.

i don't believe this is true, but i think the human species is too immature to achieve the required level of understanding (perhaps in another 2000 years or so.....with a lot of luck).
