Another fear is having a tv that only shows programs with Bob Sagett.

HAHA

I'm not questioning why it was lost, but why it was there in the first place! I guess Naomie Watts can have that effect on people though, I just don't know about that perticular film.

What about losing this website - esato ??? (just kidding here @laffen), might get banned. I like the replies of @vlammetje - this time, very realistic and futuristic as well, keep it up babe! Perhaps another thing to consider here is the very rapid spread of the deadly diseases like aids, ebola, sars, chicken flu and cancer. Or even worst, when all the oceans and lakes in the world got drained, due to the sudden change of temp. - global warming. One for me to consider also is when the McDonald's chains of restos goes 'bankrupt' and closes globally . . .

@snap: i was wondering how long it would take for someone to get it. i knew i could count on you

@jojo: i think a macca's global bankruptcy would be cause for celebration, not fear!

@jojo51069 No need to worry about global warming drying up the ocean. just worry about global warming melting ice caps then flooding all the land we live on, so that everyone on earth drowns, or dies of starvation, that would be bad.
Going blind, wouldn't want that to happen to anyone.

@buckle247- maybe you're right there too. Melting of ice in the North and South Poles even Antarctica will result to the drowning of the whole human race and if it happened, will this call for a Noah's Ark II ? I've seen a huge ship being built in Europe (Queen Elizabeth???), far vast and more cavernous than that of the Titanic, also, more hi-tech. I'm sure that most of the animals (must come in pairs) will fit the said ship, a pair of all the kinds of whales in the sea will fit as well . . . Maybe, (if still existing), a pair of T-rex will be welcomed too. . .

@jojo, havn't herd of it, though i doubt you will fit 6billion people on it, lol. also what would be the point in keeping a pair of each creature, as it is unlikly that the land would ever uncover and they would always be on the ship. Though by the time this happens the human race could already be extinct, or be living on various planats in the solar system.

the ship was the Queen Mary II, melting of the polar ice-caps will NOT submerge the world's entire land mass, and saving two animals from each species will still not save them due to a lack of genetic diversity.

aside from all that the level of "global warming", as caused by humans, is largely overrated compared with the natural warming of the earth itself.

Living on land taken from the sea and far 'under sea level' I gotta say drowning in a flood really isn't something I fear. Bit of a paradox maybe?

Although i am quite sure that with the rising of the oceans one day the sea will reclaim what our ancestors worked so hard to gain I very much doubt we'll see it in this lifetime or even my childrens lifetime.

In the end I must say I am much more afraid of the things people can and will inflict on eachother (think antrax letters, bioweapons and such)

I don't know. maybe it's to do with natural disasters killing without regard for politics, beliefs, age or behaviour, whereas man makes other ppl suffer because of those things.... It's knowing that somebody willfully harmed you and those dearest to you that I most fear

Well.... deep thoughts for this morning

Good post ;-) The thing I fear the most is religion. Think of all the killings that has been done in the name of God. And I mean any God. I think it's sad 2 see people at this time and age, still believing that there lives an invisible man up in the clouds. And they are ready to die for this incompetente father figure. Just my 5 cents. :-)

I disagree. Most religions explicitly preach non-violence. Once again it is people that use religion as an argument for killings, rape and violence that is condoned by that very same religion. It is the 'wit' of a small group of ppl that manages to twist the meaning around into something altogether different and lead other ppl on that in turn go out and kill.

Just proves my point.. I mean, what makes millions of people blindly believe anything that is being said by their priests or what ever they call these fanatics. It seems that the more devoted you are to your religion, the more it's negotiable to kill those who doesn't pray to the same invisible man that you pray to. Religion is only here because it's a perfect way to control thought and there by controlling people.

@gelfen - yeah, that's the ship (Queen Mary II), very vast indeed, have you seen it too?
@buckle247 - the point of collecting pairs of animals into the ship is for all of them to produce their races again once the flooding has stopped, just like in the Bible, remember ?
