It's not 6 megapixels per second. It's 6000(~3 megapixels with their sensor size) samples per second (as compared to logitech ~5200). This is due to the smaller sensor Microsoft use in their mice. The reviews of the Microsoft Wireless Explorer state that the mouse lacks in precision...

@skabbe
If you don't think it's operating like it should, return it for repair.

I used my MX-700 with Unreal yesterday. The headshots were flying and the heads were rolling. The mouse was fast and precise, much better then the (corded) one i've had before.

i have a mx700 and it works perfectly(if it doesnt transfer correctly turn the docking station so the 'logitech' logo faces the mouse and move it towards/away from your mouse/screen and see if that works)

btw ne0..
logitech have made some VERY good improvements on the RF speed with mx700 so i dont know what you are talking about? mine is very responsive(maybe not exactly as responsive as my mx310 but very close=i can still get alot of frags in FPS games without noticing it)
several sites have tested this and proved its 125hz but you seem kinda biased

anyway logitech mx mouses are great no doubt about it
