And then i have it unlocked with the same software and cable.
So who have spot the f/w R3C002? And wil you send it to me?

BEFORE THIS THREAD FILLS UP WITH FURTHER REQUESTS TO SEND FIRMWARE, PLEASE READ!!!!!
You can not send firmware. You can not update the firmware yourself. You have to go to service center to do it.
You can find some answers here!

I have seen and I have done, that's not the point. The point is that the average users can not flash firmware themselves, and that it will void your warranty.

i am looking for particular feature - i'd like to set up a custom port [other than 920x] for a WAP gateway in WAP profile - is that possible with the new firmware? [i mean is there a new menu in the wap profile setup allowing to change port?]
is there any other way to change the wap profile default port?
thank you |

@LiL_MJ:
This is the firmware changes discussion thread, not the "illegal pirated firmware request" thread.
@edasx
No changes, sorry.

Just a sad story:
I happened to be near an SE service point today and even though I was sort of on a tight schedual I decided to go in and upgrade my T610 firmware. The guy said it was going to take an hour since SE 'just' released a new SW version unknown to me.
Well a little dissapointed about the 'hour' part but actually quite curious about the 'newer than new software' part I left my phone and moved the meeting I was supposed to have to half an hour later (I actually had to borrow a phone from a friend to do this .... this was very awkward .... not having a phone myself ....)
When I came back the first guy was busy with a customer but a second guy asked if he could help me. "I'm here to pick up my upgraded T610" I said and handed him the receipt. He went to the back and got my phone. He came back with a big smile on his face and said ... "here's your phone with the new software".
I asked him to show me the new firmware version via the service menu on m phone, being offcourse quite curious. After some tries (I almost ripped the the phone from his hands to do it myself) he got the key-combination right and smiling handed me the handset.
A big sign with "Does not compute" must at that moment have appeared above my haed because that is definately what it felt like when I saw the SW version was R1L013 ..... the one I brought it in with .....
So I asked him what was up, he said "I don't know"
I asked him if this was maybe just to display the first software release on the phone and the actual software was indicated somewhere else .... he said "I don't know"
I asked him what firmware version they put on, and again there was an "I don't know"
looking at my watch I knew I had to go to get to my train but I still don't know quite what's up with that service point ...
BTW anyone had any similar storys with the service point in Assen The Netherlands |

I think it works pretty fast. There might have been some speed improvement. I don't really write messages alot, so it's hard for me to judge... Definetly faster looking up words (in T9 selection)

wow... coming a little late in the field.
@wrath000: Software upgrade is free under warranty period but is it working worldwide? I got my T610 in France and I live in Vietnam.
When I upgraded to R1A to R1L, they charged me around US$12 for it.
Besides, it took them 5 hours! because they had to get the firmware first (well, so they said..).
@Cytech: do you know by chance when the Vietnamese version will be available? Is there a way for them to install a different version than the vietnamese one on my phone (english is more than enough for me, don't need the local language)
@ All:
And is there a plan for another upgrade in the near future say 3-4 months? because in such case I'd rather wait a little...
Thanks in advance!

@djburno2000
I've seen other posts where people said that they were charged for upgrade if the phone was from another country. It might be warranty limitation...
It's hard to know when will release next version firmware. Sometimes it's months, sometimes days (like the R3B )
