can back up sms to sim card and contacts too, but I think the contacts won't be in the same format.

You could save them as Vcards to outlook? and then reload, I don't use outlook express so I'll try that.

BTW where, how do I get upgraded in Thailand I phoned SE and they didn't have a clue what I was on about

@Woollie

I think I know what happend to the audio option.
My P800 is origianlly A swedisch model but I live in the Netherlands so I put the dutch firmware on it. Everything went well.but when I came home I did a backup restore and my audio option in the flip closed was dissapeard. I looked on my P800 bij filemanager and saw that the language file frome the old firmware was on it (dutch_R1F) so this fille proberbly overwrited the new language file.ANd because the old fw doesn't contain this option IT dissapeerd. Thats my theary on it.
So I put the language back in English and the function was back again.
So does anybody know where I can get the DUtch language file for R2D ?

Was on the SE web site and have noticed that they didn't upgrade their manuals to R2A*****. I wonder will they upgrade the manuals for the new release of software.

I just called Orange (uk) Tech support and they has no idea there was a new update available. They advised me to call SE so I will do that but the nearest service centre is over 70 miles away from me

Can you let us know if you have a P800 on Orange where you got it flashed and any experience you had. ie: can you restore a full backup or just the contacts? Is it worth travelling 70 miles to do? etc.

Thanks

How come people are saying SE are upgrading the firmware today?

I have just been into an official service point and watched the guy dial in to the emma 2 server are get the latest version, which was R1G.
He then called a friend in technical support who also said the latest version was R1G.

Where are you people getting these upgrades done? I would normally have put it down to the technician being useless if i hadn't watched the guy do it in front of my eyes.

Whats the deal?

Thanks

has the possibility to do selected releases... a way of lower the traffic against the EMMA server... so the servicepoint you visited may have been one of them that doesn't have acces to the new firmware yet...
