Actually, plank, that IS purple fringing. Very small amounts of it, but present nevertheless.

Hang on i thought purple fringing only appeared on the edges with a bright white coloured background like a white sky. Thats what i only ever seen. |

Yet another Plank Vs Everybody thread is surfacing.
N82 photos look better in my eyes.
We post 800x600 to judge on the colours only.
We post 5MP to judge on the clarity, sharpness and colours.
Commenting on the clarity and sharpness with 800x600 photo is very WRONG.
Very simple.

I wonder how long it will be until phone cameras put in backlight compensation when in direct sunlight. I know they have exposure but i have seen dedicated digital cameras with this feature which auto corrects the light. |

Not sure I would call my photos stunning and I wouldn't post them in this thread anyway as this is a N82 vs C902 thread and I own neither of these two. And I wasn't commenting on your photographic skills. I was just pointing out that C902 shots do have noise.

That's not much different from ISO boost to simulate image stabilization which gives more noise. Recent P&S digicams have this and it's really not that great as it also increases the noise. Better to edit this in your PC afterwards instead. |

not on you...is just so silly to read about bad quality here and there when they even not have try the damn phone.
WE WATCH SOME PICTURES FROM SOMEONE ELSE.. thats all we need, now i know exactley how the camera behaves. B.S.
edit. Bono... i cant either see some purple fringing...maybe they have some hawk eyes...(i also thought you saw the purple round the edges...well well)

I see your point. I have tried only the C902 in a shop but not the Nokia though im leaning towards the Nokia more. Have not found a store with an N82 demo. Yet. |

So you mean we're not allowed to comment unless we own the same camera phone?
If I were to choose between the N82 and the C902 then I'd go for the N82 (or the G900, but that's not being discussed in this thread). You know what they say don't you? Smartphones for smart people and dumb phones for . . .
