N82 v C902 digital camera mag review |

Today i just bought a magazine which is for digital camera pros and enthusiasts. What was interesting was they reviewed side by side the N82 and C902. Thinking which one will come top i thought yes it would be the Nokia. No. How wrong i was. This magazine for pros gave the C902 10 out of 10 and the Nokia 7 out of 10. They said where the Nokia fell down was corner sharpness though it was still good and C close call. But myself looking at the results the C902 with the inside church shot blew the highlights too high with the sunlight from the windows. I dont have a direct link to review but go to www.dphotographer.co.uk and you should find it. Interesting though i was quite shocked. I had a play afterwards with C902 in 2 store today and found it very nice though screen too small although very sharp and i hate the ambient light sensor. And oddly strange lines kept going up and down the screen over photos whilst viewing them. Cant explain that. Was from Voda store. |

Can't find a link to any article. I guess you need to buy the magazine for that. It seems like a fairly respectable magazine.

You must buy the paper online befor you can read it. You can see the "current issue" there on the first page

tbh I'm not surprised by this verdict. N82 is horrible when it comes to details. If you've got a plain photo with only a few details, it's usually the best camera phone, no doubt. Also when it's dark.
But once you start taking pictures of something with lots of details, such as a lawn or a tree, it sucks big time, which is generally the case with Nokia's phones due to the camera software.
SE's cyber-shot software is mainly for pictures of lots of details, and in good lighting conditions, this is where SE's cyber-shot software shines and outperforms most competitors.

Just pop into WH Smith or Borders and read it dont have to buy it. Thats what i did anyway as the rest of the mag was pretty boring. I also forgot along side the 2 phones they put an Olympus DSLR photos. Obviously they cant compare the phones to that but they still looked good next to it. |

This happens on my K850i too, all it does it smooth over the picture, if you try taking a picture on the phone in VGA mode and view it, it will seem pixelated but then the line goes through it and smooths it over. I would like it if it happened straght away but there. Also if you zoom in it is blurred and then focuses

From what i could see though when it smoothed over the photos it looked more blurry. Though i did not zoom in on the image to check detail. Still seems a very sexy camera phone i liked it except for the poky screen though it was sharp. Wish they had the phone in 2 brighter colour so you could not see dust and finger prints. |
