no, 20 secs is a record

but i had a Symbian phone before, a Nokia 6680 and it worked slower than the K800 that im using now (im not saying anything for the games and apps, but the other things like browsing around in the phones menu, loading of playlist in media player, taking pics or browsing the phones gallery)

well i'm still using both my k800 as my work phone and my nokia 6680 as my personal phone. i don't find the 6680 slow although it only has a 220MHz processor as compared to the 332MHz processor speed of the N95.

Once I used SonyEricsson T230 many years ago. It was my favorite phone that time but for many reason switched to Nokia 3230. Now Iメm trying to buy a E series or a N series

some of you are stuck in the past you say Symbians are slow yet you have not tried the newer S60s like N81, 6120c, N78, 6220c, 5320XM, N76 etc. . . .have you? Ive got both a N81 and K850 as well as my Mum's W880, lil bros W300, and some friends with SEs, and my N81 is just as fast as a W880 and W300, and its FASTER than the K850 especialy when multitasking, i can run well over 15apps on my N81 at the same time and its STILL just as fast as a W880, W850, and K810, thanx to NOKIA putting Freescale's i.mx31 CPU running at 369mhz, and still having longer battery life than my K850.

Java games are not worth comparing to Symbian S60 games Asphalt 4 3D on symbian makes the java version look cheap and stupid. The games on Symbian S60 have amazing graphics, ive got Assassin's Creed, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart, Knights of the Dark Edge, Brothers In Arms, Asphalt4 3D and Karmagedon in my N81 and they are all matching Playstation-1 graphics, have you seen the E1Demo that uses 3D graphics acceleration of N82, N93, N93i,N95, N95-8gb, and E90? It looks like Playstation2 graphics, have you seen QuakeII OpenGL for Symbian S60? Amazing graphics, sorry but Java games are NOTHING when compared to S60 Symbian, Ngage games are just as great on my N81, ever play Sims on your Java phone? Now try the Symbian Ngage version on N81, its FAR better.
Have you seen the new FP2 MENU transitions and animations on the newer S60 phones? The N81 recently got a FW update adding FP2 MENU TRANSITIONS and other features, which are found in N96, N78, 6220c, 6210-Nav, 5320xm etc. . .and the menus look amazing! Please don't talk rubbish about things you know absolutely nothing about.

As a Symbian fanboi, let me be the first to admit Nokia had some slow-ass phones. The N73 and E61i both had significant lags in the operating system. Newer models have addressed this and the current batch of E-series and N-series phones from Nokia are downright snappy. My E71 flies through menus and rarely to I get any kind of pause or freeze. Only third-party apps have caused this, and some flakey beta apps.
