Just installed this mod.

Takes some fiddling to get to the file but once that's done and installed it works just fine on my P1i.

Thanks

if anyone expects any volume increase for EARPHONE (the speaker above touchscreen)... don't bother using this mod.
Phone conversations are still very hard to hear in a noisy environment because SonyEricsson "protects" our ears (bastards...)

Ha ha ... that's the sort of thing I would have written - although "bastards" is not a strong enough word to describe SE ..... incompetent shitebags comes to mind

I am also facing the same problem. I am unable to find the file specified. Can you say me where you got that file?

well I was in the same situation - the file was not there ... then I tried to actually think about it instead of googling and realized the obvious

you have to have the handsfree plugged in for the file to appear...

hope this will help ;]

I don't have this problem on the P1i and I have some loud enviroments around me. But I remember back in the P910i's days when the speaker was a bit soft, I admit-but no problem since.

Is there a way to see if the mod was successful?I can't tell if there's a difference or not. I can't find that .bak file someone was saying earlier but maybe that was only for P990i.

Well, the sound through the headset should be noticably louder than before, almost unbearable at 100% volume. I have both P1 and G900 and this mod works fine on both of them, I think that the headset volume is increased by 40-50%.

As for the .bak file, after you have patched '1020867a.cre', you will also get '1020867a.cre.bak' file on your PC but it has no real purpose and you can delete it, just put back '1020867a.cre' to the folder you copied it from, don't copy the .bak file to the phone.
