thanks for the info (i never got as far as finding the instructions tho)
turns out, to install a map you can just extract the downloaded archive, and copy the resulting folder to the root of the memory card and it just finds it.
now why couldn't tomtom support tell me that god damnit!? |

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove part of the map? I have the entire NA map on my memory card and its 1.4 gb. I will only be traveling around ~4 states max and I would like to get rid of the other 46. How can I do this? (or am I stuck?) |

I was going to install TT6 after having used it successfully on a WM device, but the software is getting on a bit now with no sign of Tomtom releasing a new version so thought I'd try the new copilot live 7 software. Installs on P1i in seconds and works great if anyone is looking for a good satnav alternative. |
