Yay! It's finally arrived! That's the good news, the bad news it the bugger's locked to vodafone, despite the seller insisting it was unlocked!
I've emailed him, just awaiting a response. Told him I still want the phone, but want a part refund of £20 to pay for the unlocking of the phone!

Luckily he's sent me the part refund, got an unlock code from a third party website (I would have used my spare voda sim but I've lost the bugger!)
Just waiting for the unlock code, hope it hurries up!
One thing I've found with this N95 is that the GPS struggles to find a signal, unless i'm doing something wrong!

a site called www.mrunlock.com , seem reputable! Was a bit more to pay than if I had my Voda sim, probably paid too much (£35) but just want the thing unlocked so I can use it lol!

I hope it does too! I just hope that code works - though it looks like that King mobile phones place would have given the the unlock code for £15 cheaper than I paid

Dont worry, I will be Kerry! And going through Paypal to get my money back if they won't refund me!
I'd then drop King Mobile Phones on here a line and ask them for an unlock code, it's cheaper and they have a good rep on here.
Just had a brainwave on debranding my N95 - I've got a couple of deactivated Voda sims lying about, thought I'd try one of them in the phone with the update service - and it's working! I'm in the process of downloading the firmware update - over 113Mb!
So, barring any disasters I'll soon have a nice, sim free N95 devoid of all the Voda rubbish they insist on putting on their phones, even if it's still locked to them!
btw, I might keep the product code as the generic one rather than changing it back to the Voda one - would doing this affect the phone's stability at all or would it be more stable putting the original Vodafone product code back (and just changing it before any update?)
