I have a black W900i with firmware ver.R5AC011. The phone freezes whenever I plug in a 2GB Sony Ms-Duo with roughly 1.2GB of MP3s in it.
Even when the phone works fine, it still freezes once I enter the walkman mode. I tried to delete some MP3s so as to get the phone working, and at last, I only left 5XXMB of MP3 when the phone would finally be working.

Does any of you know why? Thanks!

cause sony ms sticks are slow.. get sandisk

That's interesting. What makes you say that about the Sony sticks? Have there been tests done?

I bought 2 days ago a 2 GB Sony Ms duo High speed.
Had a 1gb Sandisk MS duo before

When playing mp4 movies, 300kbps or more used to have 2 or 3 sound cuts at the beginning of the movies but not anymore with the High speed MS, has anyone noticed such cuts??
Tks

well it's a fact that sandisk sticks run much faster....

there's a whole thread discussing that....

I also have a 2GB Sony High Speed Memory Stick Duo with my w900i, which cannot playback anything after the first 500 or so MB has been filled. All the stuff saved to the first 500 MB plays fine, but anything afterward says "playback failed". Also, in the video section of the file manager, if more than 500MB of video are saved to the memory stick, the phone will simply shut down. It seems like all the files saved past the 500MB mark are on the memory stick, since I can transfer them back to my computer and they play fine. Anyone have any advice besides getting sandisk?

are you sure it's a REAL high speed stick? (many counterfeits out there)

My high speed stick works fine.. but you do have to give it a few seconds to load everything

my 1 gig regular stick use to crash all the time.
