- Slow start up and sometime freeze for 1 minute
- Menu speed is very slow
- No clock display on idle mode like K750i
- Signal strength need to be improve more.
- The Zoom of camera is slow response and not as smooth as K750i
- The big screen is still too much bright, not enough color and contrast. Nokia 6270 screen is awesome, very colorful.
- Eventhough the phone support Flash, but cannot play flash files.

Anyone want to add more to this? Hopefully SE will fix all these in the next firmware!

It doesnt display sleep clock as it uses more power than it does on K750i due to the bigger screen. The S700i was the same.
It doesnt support flash files, it supports flash lite files.

Ok, so we just cross out the Flash problem then.

I think it is still better for the user to choose to turn on the sleep clock or not, but in W900i there is no sleep clock option.

i lowered the brightness on my phone to 60% and found the contrast to be better, although my main consideration was to increase battery life.

the only one i agree with on your list is the lack of a standby clock. you should at least have the choice of having it displayed or not, regardless of power consumption implications. it's not like the phone has the battery life of a K700 anyway.

one thing i would add is that the message alert volume is much softer than the ringtone. if i increase the ringing volume so that i can hear the message alert more than 15ft away, then my ringtone would be obnoxiously loud when i receive a call.

overall, pretty good for a first release tho. not half as many bugs as my K750 had at first launch.

regarding your points do you actually have a w900i
i also dont experience many of these either
no freeze for 1 minute no slow menu signal strength is noticably better than my 6630 and my k750i
"the big screen is still too much bright" you can set the brightness to the level you want in display options
have seen the nokia 6270 the screen is similar wouldn't say better
cant play video at 30fps
if you look at same picture on both and compare w900i looks richer

Where did you get your W9?

Except for the clock showing during standby, I don't have any complaints.

yup, it happened to me only once but as you said, once you reboot the phone, everything is fine again.

Also for me, the startup animation is really slow and when I use the "default" theme, the walkman animation is slow too..

i don't have the multiple character search in my phonebook, but then i have the asia pacific version, which usually doesn't get it (except for the latest version of the K750) because of the asian character sets.

ok, i've figured out the problem with the SMS alerts. for whatever reason, the phone plays the first second of the selected tone softly then suddenly increases it to the normal volume. it does this even if you have disabled the Increasing Ring option.

if the length of the tone you have chosen for your message alert is 1 sec. or less, then the alert volume will remain very soft since it isn't long enough to get to the increased volume stage. therefore, the solution is to select a message alert tone longer than 1 sec otherwise you will never hear it in an environment with a lot of ambient noise.

ok, so the problem is not as dire as i originally thought. but all the same, SE should rectify this in the next firmware. if you disable Increasing Ring, that goes for message alerts too!

i get that too...sooo annoying have to reboot...

to the OP... Rf is great on the w900 way better the w800/k750i's i had.

software isn't slow... not as fast as k750i/w800 but definietely not slow.

after comparing the screens i find the nokia 6270 too bright.. i turn my w900 down to about 70-80%

yes i wish they had the standby clock.. saving battery is an excuse.. they can have a choice for the option to be on or off.. looks like my phone is dead have the time...

here are some pics i have both phones
