Does the Z310 sucessor have to have GPS. It can come bundled with lots of Google Map goodies, like "locate me" features similar to what they have right now.
Of course I want GPS in a low end phone too =D It would be a first! |

Does anybody know about the photoflash LED in the C902? How does this compare to a xenon flash? I have read that it is technically better but I am skeptical. |

I may be wrong but the photo flash led is simply a torch that illuminates am area where the xenon flash acts as a real flash and is better |

Its a smaller, more efficient form of flash that doesn't need capacitors and so can be accommodated in slimmer handsets.
More info here.

I had assumed the "PhotoFlash" was just a euphemism for LED flash, but I suppose not.
I hope that tech is incorporated in all high-end phones (especially Paris). Xenon is cool, the bulkiness of the thing takes away from it, I think. If the PhotoFlash can be perfected to be better than Xenon, I think that's the ticket.

Right.
The C902 specs page lists both PhotoLight and PhotoFlash, so this appears to be some kind of hybrid. |

It seems to remind me of the flash on the W900i. It used to light up when the AF button was pressed and then gave out a major burst when the picture was taken. It could also be used as a torch.
This looks to be similar. The most important thing is the size. The K850i would probably be 5mm slimmer if this was used instead.

Maybe that's why they aren't releasing the K850 sucessor yet, should there be one.
I just hope this flash makes the images less "cool" I find Xenon flash making the picture a lot "cooler" than it actually is.
(cool as in cold//not it looks cool). |

if one can make those two capacitor for the xenon flash looks like those flat button like battery we used for watches (only bigger in diameter) then maybe we can get a slimmer phone....but of course this can make the X-Y dimension larger too. But if screen get boost up to 2.6in or 2.4in...no one will mind....and i know my remark getting off topic.
they can also look into way to reduce the speaker performance until it is ok for speaker phone only but not music playback.
then with all this thing there...you maybe can see a slim camera phone with xenon flash and a big screen. Same time...as technology advance..maybe those capacitor will be smaller.
For those who don't know why I keep on saying capacitor...go visit Phone scoop and open up K850 FCC report....or K800 report. all phone with Xenon flash got this huge capacitor there.
Just notice on FCC report for N82....it seem the phone only have one capacitor next to the xenon flash module.

Well, if this "PhotoFlash" turns out to work well, hopefully we won't even need Xenon.

Just look at the S0905iCS flash diode. it is way larger than any LED flashes around. dont we think SE had based it's photoflash technology from SE japan's earlier model?

Yeah, I think that's what we thought, but since I've never used an SO905 nor have I read a review, I don't have anything to base it on, hence "if." But given it's Japanese SE tech, I assume it'll be good. I like that more Japanese tech is making it to SE's global phones.
