Just got my S700i back from the manufacturer after it blew up. They put a new housing on and software version R3F008.
Is this the latest software version ?

Kinda wrong there. I read the whole thread a while ago before I posted that question (when I first read this thread there were only 2 pages) I came on here in a hurry and didn't have much time which is why I posted straight away.
BTW.
You unbranded firmware is wrong. You have listed:-
UNBRANDED
Phone: R3K004 prgCXC125935_EU_1_T
LCD: 200211260
Camera: 1.0
ITP: CXC 125 942 R2A
Customization: cxc 12594 1 R3K004 EU_2
CDA: CDA 102310/49 R1A
I've just finished updating my S700 to R3K004 and I noticed that most of what you have put is correct except for the CDA part. Mine is an unbranded S700i and after updating it the CDA shows R2A at the end and not R1A which is what you have listed

That R2A is a CDA revision string. Not very important really
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Right. Wasn't sure if it made any difference or not

It probably makes a difference somewhere - only minor

I think the problem with the rebooting is more related to the MS card used as opposed to a firmware problem. I was having a rebooting problem, and SE gave me a brand new one, and it still reboots. The common denominator is the 128 MS card duo that I am using. Once I switch the card out and used the 32 mb card as well as putting all the files directly on the phone rather than having the phone access them, it no longer crashes.

I never had trouble using a 128mb card in my s700i. The only thing that I can suggest trying is formatting the stick using a PXXX. My card was formatted on a P800 and worked perfectly.

Check my reply to your post in the rebooting problems thread
I have a 128mb MS Duo in my S700 that was origonally in my P900 and was also formatted with my P900. I still get the reboot problem.

I bought an s700i from O2 online (UK) 3 weeks ago and it has R3F008.
Since purchasing:
The radio doesn't work any more (no sound through earphones or speaker)
MP3s, video & music no longer play out of phone speaker - they just play through the ear-speaker
One of the on screen icons has gone pixelated / corrupted
It has crashed making a call a couple of times
As it was within 28 days I asked for a replacement handset from O2 and they ordered me one. I just rang to chase up and they said they are still out of stock as they were all recalled to SE for a software fix. I never know how much to believe the O2 staff but hopefully my replacement will be better.
I see from the OP that R3B032 is the latest version - I don't quite understand the numbering sequence for these. I would imagine that R3B would be older than R3F??? Apologies if this is explained somewhere but it would be really helpful to understand this. |

@rjs
Could you then post the firmware full details so i can update the first post (related to O2)? Thanks.
@rookwise
Gbrooks is right. The CDA version is not very important. The main firmware is. But it seems there's a newer CDA version. You could post the full software info details for me to update the first post. Thanks

@krubach
My firmware is:
O2 - Branded
R3F008
prgCXC 125935_EU_1_T
LCD SW versions
Main display
Current: 200211260
Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 1.0
ITP SW version
CXC 125 942 R2A
Customization
CDA 1023 10/5 R5A
cxc 12594 1 R3F008
EU_2
But as I say in my post, O2 say that SE are issuing a new version on O2 - Any O2 users got a newer version of this than me? |

The software details on my unbranded S700i are exactly the same as what you have listed except for the CDA version which the last 3 letters are what I put in my above post. I'll double check for you to see if there are any other changes as I only had a quick look at the phone after updating it.

Hi guys, interesting forum, ive got a bit of an issue. Iv got an O2 phone, but on reading Esato decided I would benefit from the debranding, and also this would help me use SEUS
I used Sony Ericsson Remote Unlocker 12.5 without problems and preformed a full flash, my FW info now reads:
Phone: R3K004 prgCXC125935_EU_1_T
LCD: 200211260
Camera: 1.0
ITP: CXC 125 942 R2A
Customization: cxc 12594 1 1EOW EU_2
CDA: CDA 102286/8 R2A
AS you can see the Customization and the CDA are quite different from those already posted. Also could htis have something to do with the fact I STILL get the "Operator not supported" message on SEUS. Would a full unlock help this issue?
Thanks in advance guys

You CDA will not allow you to use SEUS as it is from a K700i Need to change it to a generic S700i one.
