Sony Italy does not have devices for sale. Page only shows "device info". I just checked other places in Europe, most have the 2021 devices available.

"The company explained to us that after the closure of the official store it is "evaluating the market demand", therefore the convenience of offering the Xperia in our country. However, Sony pointed out that no decision has been made for the time being." This is what they said on an interview made by an italian blog (hdblog) |

Italy : no xperia on sony website, nor sony on amazon.
France: no xperia for sale on sony website .
Poland: no xperia for sale, but still shows you where to get.
Keep leaving markets is just gonna make even worse at this point. How are people supposed to have the phone if they cant buy in their location? Most are not gonna buy device from overseas without warranty or local repair.
I know that is not easy to be somewhere if sales are something like 10.000 devices/year for example. But how about study market better? Focus on flagships where they have more chance like Japan/China/Sweden. Focus on midranges when flagships are mot popular.
Sony left Latin America few years ago. For the price Ace2 is in Japan, it could be huge sucess if properly advertised and widely available. |

Thanks for the explanation.
So Hawk, I'm not familiar with selling channel of xperia in Europe, so before Sony France and Poland both used to sell xperia directly from their official store?
If they did and now they don't, it could imply they considering to withdraw fro Europe, not just from Intaly. What do you think? |

So far, only Poland, Estonia, Italy , France and Austria do not show phones for sale. ( among the places that got 2021 devices).
UK, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, North Europe, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Russia, Croatia, Slovenia, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria all have phones there.

I wouldn't worry about dsee. It's just some type of software compressor that guesstimates the gaps on very compressed audio files. It works on some music genres but not all. It brings out the highest frequencies which were crippled by compression. |

Gsmarena review a realme with SD695 (probably used by 10 iv). Stress tests were done and phone sustained between 100% and 94%. With this cpu they just need to add decent cam hardware and stereo to make it very rated phone. |

A guy from a supplier told me that a new mid-range Xperia will be announced soon, and will be released in Spring. Flagship won't be released till early summer.
Take it with a pinch of salt, but his past information was accurate. |

Someone with 14000 followers on weibo says 5iv is just a 5iii with new CPU + new screen + tougher glass. Rest is same including cam system.
It would be so stupid to adopt samsung thing and give best stuff to only larger phone. |

On Notebookcheck they are saying that 'slight increase in battery capacity' is also expected.

Also they are a bit excited that the CPU would be TSMC's 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus which is presumably better than Snapdragon 5 nm 8 Gen 1 from Samsung.

From Hd Blog today:
"Sony Italy revealed that it "remains committed to the smartphone business in Europe, with industry-leading technological innovations in its latest range of Xperia products." The period of reflection, therefore, continues, but at the moment there is a firm intention not to give up on an important market such as the European one, including Italy."
Starting next spring, the latest range of Sony smartphones should also be made available for purchase in our country. |

Revenue of chinese phones sales are only about 10x the xperia, despite selling over 60x more devices. Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo made about 34-37 bi between jan/21 - dec/21. Sony made 3,54bi.
