Sorry!
First off, I wouldn't qualify that statement as absolutely true.
Second, have you tried all of SE's phones? |

@ drasko:
What a super sweeping statement man. absolutely very untrue.
An EXAGGERATED and SWEEPING statement it is you have posted.
Imho, you are not in the proper position to comment on that.
As if you have tried 100% of phones to come up with a conclusion that 90% of them have bad keys. Tsk.. tsk..

well, one thing is fact. se is pushing hard that small keypad soltuion, which is for me a night mare, but for others a real "nirvana". imo if sy loves a brabd so much as the se users, they can get used to any solution, cos the fone features etc count more for them and they are able to "transform" their fingers to get used to small keys. i really dont have big fingers, but my one got hurt after 20-25 mins of usage, so i still stick to big keys.

Are you reffering to the T650/K850 style keys mate?
if yes,
I can't see this issue living after the 2008 SE phones announcement. what do you think

So what phones do we know of, which are as yet unannounced?
We have 'Beibei' and of course the P5i, but what else? These are two smartphones, what about 'dumb' phones? I know people say the K850i successor is coming, but it was said a while back that it was cancelled, plus the C902 is very close to it. So can anyone confirm any other phones?
Honestly, all this arguing is driving me mad!

Samsung and LG have both shown phones with a second tactile display replacing the traditional D-Pad, where I personnally don't like LG's way of doing it, I must say that Samsung's U900 Soul looks good, anybody think that is going to come up with similar solutions, or do you think they are going to present more phones with dedicated touch keys around the display instead ?

Well, SE have patented some interesting designs recently. (inluding one that has the same D-pad, but when it swivels closed, the D-pad becomes the main screen) |

IMO using the term "dumb" in referring to the non-smart phone handsets is inappropriate.
phones like k850, w910 and the other java phones of are not dumb! they are multi taskers right? and something dumb cannot process mulitple commands/tasks.
i suggest we call them "clever" phones. because they are one level lower than those "smart" phones but is not that useless and stupid as to be called "dumb"
back to topic: what are the handsets to be expected in cebit other than beibei and paris? k850 successor?

I don't think SE will come with many handsets at CeBit. Last year there was just one, and SE did announce 13 models in the first to months of 2008. As CeBit is just a few days after the end of February, I don't think they will announce much. They never announced so much handsets in about 2 months afaik. |
