I'm very tempted to reflash my phone on Da Vinci with tha latest firmware. Is it possible? Is it out on Da Vinci? Is it safe to pay with you credit card??

It's not out in Davinci yet.

http://www1.davinciteam.com/K850/index.html

But should be soon. It's really safe, i have done with my old K800i, and i've done with my K850i, pay via paypal, the best is that you only have to do once then you can use SEUS.

Should only do a back up first. Becouse you lost all info. But all de default (games, pictures, ringtones...) stay.

I probably will give Da Vinci a go then..that is if the new firmware is upp in a day or two
Can i see in the firmware version in my phone witch versio i should flash with? I'm on Nordic 1200-4400 R1EA031 unbranded.

Look here http://www1.davinciteam.com/p[....]tails_K850i_R1CA037_CID52.html

but i couldn't see an NORDIC unbranded (customized) firmware, ask then on support they should now and awnser you.

Just updated my O2 K850i and the flash has stopped working!! I've tried going into the service menu and discharging the flash and still nothing

Try a factory reset (just the settings should be okay).

Ive HAD to turn to them when SEUS bricked my phone during an update, the flashes have been 100% everytime, and have flash my phones about 9-10 times with them. The payment actually runs through paypal not them directly.

Still wanna know what's up with the mega bass. It may seem weird, but that's my biggest concern...

The battery issues I had with 038 have now been resolved.

WARNING: MASTER RESET AFTER UPDATE MAY MAKE NEW FIRMWARE OPTIONS UNAVAILABLE.

Earlier today i updated my unbranded K850i from R1CA037 to R1EA031. Everything went well, and i was checking the new options for HSDPA and Vibration on touchkeys. Both were visible in the menu and worked quite well.

To be sure i had a clean, stable release i decided to put a Master Reset. After the reset both new options were disappeared. Vibration didn't work anymore...
Now, after reflashing, the options still aren't back and i'm doubting if i will ever see them back in this firmware release.

Is there anything i can try to get the 'full' R1EA031 back?

Sound really strange! Try to take out the battery for halv an hour and flash the phone again..a poor advice i know, but thats all i can think of for now. I have no java apps or games and iv'e tried everything. So i will try to flash it at a SE-center or via Da Vinci-if they also do a "total flash" as you don't do when you flash at home.

Well well, it's getting even more strange... After waiting half an hour, i tried to reflash once more. After the progress meter in the SEUS app reached 99% for a while, i was getting the message that the update failed!
Checking now: Vibra on touchkey menu is back, HSDPA option is still missing. MediaPlayer is still slow (slower than earlier today).

It looks that some corruption took place that isn't recoverable by user, i will take your advice and i'll let do a total flash at a SE service center.

It seems to be an abnormality, i never see sortlike complaints on fora.

I updated a couple of hours ago, phone went dead when I initially switched it back on but taking the battery out a second time seems to have worked.

Cant see too much difference from 038 , is definately faster , I wonder if the vibration on the soft keys has been added due to many people thinking the buttons dont respond when they generally do IF you touch the white mark and not the actual screen , vibration would get people used to pressing the button correctly.

Camera seems the same , will test more tomorrow but flash burn is still very strong so will try the cleaning the sensor again.

Interestingly I've just been testing the speed of response on the vibrating softkey mode and it switched the phone off , ooops so wont be doing that too often.

The sound quality is great. I've noticed an increase in the power of the bass without it being distorted.

Does Da Vinci do the same kind of "total flash" that you get when you flash your phone at a SE-center? Otherwise it wouldn't do me any good anyway since a need to do a flash that totaly overwrites the old firmware.
