my log look much like yours (except for the HL1 filenames) but all relates to R2L001 except the script version which says R2AA003 however I still have R2L001

to see your firmware version just go into the service menu, instructions for which are in the Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style)

I've got the same R2AA003 script version in my log file too, but phone still says R2L001.

The phonebook search function is still limited to one character.

Oh well, maybe next time

Cheers,

Col.

Dont know bout you guys, but as for me Im getting pissed off with these issues regarding the k700i. Why did put up an online update if it's gonna mess up our phones? I see no logic in that!

I've probably been better off with my t630 or my old t68i.

the intention of any software is to operate correctly and with 100% accuracy but the reality is that all software has bugs

@masseur, I do agree with what you said but I've never encountered a phone as beautiful as this with so many issues regarding it. (not as problematic as the t68i and t6xx series). I check esato everyday and most of the time I find issues regarding the phone! (Im very sure im not the only one.)

@vee, would you use windows if it did not have windows explorer and internet explorer in it and linux has both?

thanks for letting us know.

strange that previously it would always tell me that the version I have in the phone is the same as that which would be updated...

you are lucky I guess... previously it would tell me also that the version I have in the phone is the same... now it tells me that my operator does not allow use of this service ??? ... it is totally unbranded and free K700 which was using Update Service normally before and haven't been messed up with any unofficial solution... STRANGE

can you share your Customization mine is CDA 102286/9 R2A cxc 125822 R2L001 EMEA_2

@vee

I have an Orange branded K700i and mine said the operator wouldn't allow updates.....

Maybe there is some other problem if yours is completely unbranded and still says the same!

Im just glad that it is does seem to be a bug, and not the fact that my phone has been savaged by Orange's marketing buff!
