I just downgraded my firmware from 038 (Horrible) to the 037 (western- Adriatic) using davinci and then upgraded to the latest using SEUS. No problems what so ever...

Hi all

I just installed it and indeed it is faster in the media player, faster on the start-up too, faster on auto rotate and scrolling between pictures - i do like the transition effects! - and faster in the menus, but just as slow reading the card when you turn the phone on.

Then there's something I don't remember happening since I first got the phone; it reset itself for no reason while I was changing themes! =/

Then I took a couple of pictures and tried switching to view mode and it told me I had no pictures(!) then i tried video mode and it went on for a second before returning to the standby screen. I turned it on and off and it seems to be fine now, I hope they were just one-offs.

I suffered a great deal from flash burn on 037 but a couple of photos I took there seem better... I may actually be able to use my CAMERA phone as a CAMERA phone again.

There is possibly an increased speed in the java apps but I hadn't had any problems with them being slow before son not an expert opinion there.

The new vibrate on the touch keys, although quite cool, is rather annoying, that's merely a personal preference tho.

One more point, there's still a sound lag watching movies.

What is the best procedure to follow before updating the fw.

Im going to do it at home.

my messages are on my phone memory so gonna back them up,.

Anyone think i should do factory reset before updating or what process should i do the update in.

I know that, but i've seen the flash fire way shorter than it does when i shoot on white objects.

Yes,I had. I just cleaned up all debris application like jv$ from java folder on memory card and all came to normal after reboot.The routine procedure...
You should toward yourself to Service for reflushing only in case you cant initiate Magic marble.
