I guess that's NOT a boring weekend pal. A DOG entertains the crowd with his antics can only be found in small-time carnivals here in Manila, and the sad part of it is that when the DOG did not perform at PAR during the BIG night, into the Pressure Cooker he goes the following day!
What's the projection on your NEW house's construction dude?, when it will be finished? I hope you'll invite, even just ME here (as I am the ONLY regular contributor in this thread of yours mate) during the house blessing - OK

the house should be finished by about September, but contractually doesn't have to be finished until the end of November.
received the base stage invoice from the builder, so now it's time to let the bank start shafting me too.
at least the carpenters are starting this week on the frame, and my father-in-law will be starting on the bricks within the next week.

a fairly full weekend.
visited the block. with the framework up it's a good feeling to actually walk through the "house" into each of the rooms.
saw Episode III - ROTS (loved it! )
went to a Gilbert & Sullivan double bill of "HMS Pinafore" and "Trial by Jury" performed by Opera Australia at the State Theatre in Melbourne.

looks like i have to go into hospital at the end of the month for an operation on the base of my spine. it's a repeat of a procedure i had done a couple of years ago, although this time more preventative than curative.
at least it's a couple of weeks off work

high eileen and welcome to esato!
i agree it has been a bit lonely around here lately - *casts sidelong glances at all those people who promised faithfully to check here every day* - but nevermind. i expect the house to be finished sometime in the next four to six months. according to the contract, they have to be finished by the end of November or else they start paying us.
in the meantime, here's a photo of possibly the largest tomato i have ever seen
