yes you can, i used it on my K850 too just follow the instruction on the README file and you are good to go, vx2 is really an amazing acoustic driver

I really don't understand... Is there such a big difference between phones, that one drive is awesome with one but totally crap with the other? Sounds so weird to me... Using with UIQ3 the Vx2 really is missing something. |

Hi, have Cyber-shot C702 same audio hardware as Walkman W995? When I use your accoustic driver, will be quality of sound same as in w995? |

'they say' both phone has different chip, one is for imaging and the other for music.
don't know will it be the same as W-series but it will be more than just better if you put these acoustic.

It will not sounds the same as both of them have different eq bands... But I'm trying to make C702 sounds more identical to w995

Hiron: eq bands are different... Hmm when I was buying this phone, I thought that audio hw have all SE same and different is only in software. The problem is I don't know any www pages about hardware in SE phones to compare different models. |

yes eq bands from standard phones is 5-band, while ClearAudio has 6-bands eq with different frequencies... It is a software side. Could be modified through vkp patching

Hi all, I'm back...
So back to this W960 (UIQ3) sound issue... With some versions the warmth of the music is totally missing (and thus a specific range of details as well), instead everything sounds really cold, seems like a pretty radical eqalizer is applied.
Tested with: W960 (UIQ3) (no manual EQ, tested with flat preset)
Sennheiser CX500 earbuds
Tracks: John Williams - Star Wars Main Title...
Rock n Rolla soundtrack - Rock & Roll Queen
Madonna - Push
Buena Vista Social Club - El Carratero

Allright, so one night I went through most of the versions one after the other, and made some real quick notes. (No need to turn on and off the phone, no need to connect to the computer, etc, so it went relatively quick)
v3.0 Loud - Awesome! No problems whatsoever, I'm still using this one.
v3.0 Bass - still not bad, just different, matter of taste
v5.0 - OK (whatever it means, it didn't sound that bad i guess)
v5.6 Open - Suxx /exactly the sounds cold, totally missing something problem/
v5.6 Closed - OK
v7.2 - Maybe OK for some sort of music /the problem is present, but to a smaller degree/
v8.2 - Good
v9.3&newer - Suxx real bad
So, in conclusion, there seems to be something in common: v5.6 open, V9.3+
I hope it was useful and you can actually figure out the reasons for this I'm pretty interested.

This is not a patch, it will work! Just upload it to your phone using A2uploader to the folders specified in readme file.
