Well we are entitled to be as dramatic as we desire. And frankly we have the right to be! One of the contributing reasons for us to be dramatic is that it have taken too much time for SE to attend to these matters! Ad to this fact the issues we are facing! I dare say- bad form SE!

Whatever helps you pass the time. Why worry about situations you can't control. We all here want the new software but what can we do? While SE has been a little slower than usual on the K850 and you do have a right to be concerned and express your opinion, some log on here on daily basis just to rant. SE can't hear you so your efforts are fruitless. Unless one is contributing I don't see how logging on and complaining religiously benefits you or any other member of this forum.

Okidoki. You see it your way. We do have other things to do to pass our time though. But this is a forum and one have to stand this kind of complaining and recognize that this is a"ranting period" since SE is late and all. And i think that some of us are thinking abut returning or selling our K850 and we want to see if a new firmware would improve the phone in such a way that we will keep it. So that's another thing that mekes us impatient. It may feel boring to read all posts about customers venting their dissapoinment but i think it's only natural. And in a way you are also complaining..about complaining people So that's a full circle almost.

Anyway,if someone reads manual that he knew what SE writes
i mean something like
"the phone should be restarted for once per day to keep performance"
or something like that ,but for me it sounds funny. We have phone without any open system but we have to restart him for better performance. The question in the manual is kindly like this
"I have a problem with memory, phone working very slow"
The answer is
"Turn off and turn on the phone everyday or use the Factory defaults function"
I know it's not exactly the same as in the manual but i remember this about the time i first read it...

Just noticed a new bug. atleast new to me. didnt see it listed before.

Basically, when someone calls, and they leave a voicemail, it has no record on my phone that anyone called. I tested this out by having a roommate call me, and leave a voicemail. I watched my phone ring with his name showing, then he left a voicemail, and my phone erased any trace of him ever calling me. its not even in the "calls" area. anyone else have this problem. I have the lastest firmware 037

Is anyone else using an 8gb MicroSDHC card, another bug is that the card isn't recognized when the phone is MTP mode ... kind of sucks to have only the internal phone memory for syncing stuff.

And it's required to do a master reset after SEUS update!!!

No, its not that necessary. (depends on u whether u master reset after SEUS) i really dont like this function as it deletes everything. I've a backup always and i can restore it but even then i dont like this.
Mine one is working quite fine without any Master Reset.

I really feel sorry for you guys who haven't dumped your K850i. It's already 2/3 into February and no update still has been released... I suggest for you all complaining desperately here to just get rid of the phone and make another investment like I have done (I'm back with a K750i )

Some high end suggestions in my personal opinion would be Nokia's Nseries, or the K800/K790... this phone has recently made a breakthrough in the modder's scene and apparently can be made quadband by doing a simple GDFS rewrite. Not too sure about the status of changing up the 3G/EDGE/etc. locks though.

I don't feel sorry for myself
^_^
I'm certainly happy with my phone. I'm after the firmware not to fix my phone but for the new stuffs that will come. I'm on 037 and if I can flash my phone to 038 for free that would still be nice. Battery drain is no Problem.
^_^

I feel sorry for those who have problems with their phone.

From the very start, if you keep on thinking about it, it will eventually get into your nerves. Knowing that there are a lot of people having the same feelings, your frustrations will start to compound.
If it continued that way then it only requires you a couple of days and you will end up leaving it behind and curse it.

It's mass hysteria. I've been suppressing that feeling because it is unhealthy for me. I will keep on waiting for "it's most appropriate function" and if it does not come I will try to find resources to modify it myself.

I like this phone not because it is top-notch of its kind (supposedly),
I like it not because it does perform a hell-lot of different things,
I like it not because I bought it with a hell-lot of money,
It's just that I like it.
^_^
That's all.

It has shortcomings, I've been digging into it's deepest malfunctions but it doesn't bother me because I researched firsthand of its pros and cons before buying it.
At least every each of you should have done the same, so no one falls into a "commercialized thinking" of owning a mobile phone. I see it more as a work of art.

To avoid further frustrations, we should search for ways to control the problem instead of "informationless complaints"

We must start with verifying and confirming every each firmware information (including release dates), study the information to avoid further false expectations, and evaluate the possible outcomes.

If I may suggest, we start hunting down people who we can prove to have valuable information e.g. those who give accurate news, and I believe SE service centres are not in the least as of the moment.
Can you please help me sort-out this information sources...

I guess there is something more that he is into, considering that he posted about "R3" when there are more evidence about "R1EA"

So I guess, as of the moment Mizzle is not in the list of reliable sources. But ofcourse, we will be waiting for his visit here for more enlightenment.
Even so, I have a hunch that the "R3" thing is more than just a hoax. It's just a hunch though.

So next up, I want to ask you kind people a list of those who have contacted;
a) SE service center
b) Brand-oriented service centres e.g. O2, T-mobile etc..

I will try to tabulate and compare the results of their calls and the given dates. I wll try to find a possible release date. I will also compare the release dates of previous phones; k750 (w800) and k810i with the k850i.
I hope something good will come-up...
