yeah well i was going to fork out for a macbook but i heard they overheat alot and the battery life is piss poor.
and i figured its a dual porcessor powermac so in its day it would have been built for like serious video editing and the likes, which evidently is what im studying at the moment.
speaking of, today i was learning to use a 3D animation program called maya unlimited. that is a serious piece of software, retails at like 4000GBP.

@ trodge if your doing video editong go for the macbook, believe me you will need it, I think the old macs are now only good as entery level, I highly recomend its worth the extra money to buy a mac book if you are going to be using it for that kind of thing, the overheating isnt actually that bad, just over hypes by those who cant take a bit of heat from their lappy

@Luke,
The Bluetooth Mighty Mouse is £49, not £39
"Apple has formally launched its wireless Mighty Mouse.
Based on Bluetooth 2.0, the new wireless Mighty Mouse offers a reliable, secure connection to Macs and features a new laser tracking engine that is "20 times more sensitive than standard optical mice for better tracking on even more surfaces", the company said.
It costs £49 (including VAT). Features include up to four independently programmable buttons and the Scroll Ball."

50 beans for a mouse? is someone having a giggle?
thats silly money.. you can get a MS keyboard and mouse set for £60 and the onloy different thing about the mouse it is doesnt ahve the side buttons...
i don't see how apple can justify £50 for a mouse....
