how can i configure dcu 11 in linux (kubuntu 6)
i entered dmesg got somethin but i didnt understand anytin
i want to dial my j300i using dcu 11
please give me some hope to study linux

By the way, I'm not able to install Kubuntu on my pc. May be the installation CD has some problems.

@Jn,got my laptop back today...they had to replace the lcd light...they got the replacement part yesterday from Banglore.
@all HP laptop users,can u help me with the factory settings of the colour of screen...
in Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Colour...i want the gamma,brightness and contrast (factory)settings.

ther is a button right corner to restore factory defaults
gamma 1.0
brightness 0
contrast 50 are my settings ont he hp1615.

@san,the problem i am facing is that the colours are not the same as what i was used to earlier...the black colour is now bright faded black...and the green coloured start icon is also faded and has no lively look to it. i tried around with the default (factory settings) but still not satisfied...i think the change is because of the replaced part and i got to get the original look back by altering the settings

k as long as u got back the original settings its ok. maybe cause the replaced part was not hp original??
