I'm running R1CA021/camera version 5.3 as well and i believe thats the latest firmware since i had my phone updated only 1-2 weeks back.
There is no camera sound on silent mode.
I can zoom at large size.
Maybe its to do with region....mine is EU |

@govi everythings going fine.
college will commence from 21st.
i got my admission in VIT, Pune for computer engineering
and the college is ranked 81st among the top 100 colleges of India.
will go to Mumbai on 18th with my Dad for a bit shopping
