I think I have a solution...?

SE should release the source code and give access to the file system so we can fix and customise the code ourselves I can think of a page full of features that couldn't be that hard to code...

Anyway, back to reality:)

Maybe someone should start a petition with a list of issues?

Totally agree with you... Even if it will be hard in the first few days I bet a few good guys will make a firmware much better that SE. Who knows, maybe add some features that are missing or release a program that allows you to further customize you phone interface....
Though I still hope that SE will release a firmware for this phone even if it will have new bugs but fix the current issues...

That would be great!! But sure almost impossible...

Totally, nosense...

Of course no company in the whole world would do that... The only reveal the code to some softwares manufactures,Sony Ericsson would never alow for you modify their software...

I know that this is impossible but think about the potential of the phone with someone to really maintain it.... I believe that it would be a best seller among the phones. But I'm just dreaming...
Still hope that SE will release a good firmware.

I was just checking mobile phone prices and was shocked to see that K850i has been dropped to Rs.26800(US$ 426)
I bought it @ Rs.31800(US$ 505) last month. While N82 price is still the same as last month. I would have saved Rs.5000 if i waited 4 one month:-(

Oh yes.. about Android... does anyone know if K850 could handle that? It could be very interesting....
I wander if someone could "give" us the sources of K850 firmware just like for Half-Life 2 and, if I recall it correct, Windows 2000?
Now I know I'm getting off-topic but... what can we do? SE seems very reluctant to the idea of releasing even simple communicate in order to shade some light on the problems and an expected release date for the firmware.... And agree that that will make them look bad but again.... they are looking bad right now.... (hope it makes some sense)

hello everyone. a bit of a problem has developed on my phones. evrytime i press the down button on the keypad, my phone seems to think i am pressing the back button aswel, so then i wil press the down button and then the phone will sudenly press back by itself. however i have tried taking of keypad lock using this method (because the right soft key needs 2 be pressed) and this does not work, everything is fine. is this a hardware or software problem?

also just want to ask would it be worth selling this phone for a t650i?

Rook! You blasephemer you, hehe. j/k dude, but an N2? yuck is my personal opinion but whatever suits you.

Felt like wanting something a little different and the N2 isn't available over here. Have had every since the release of the T68i and also some Ericssons before that. Getting a little bored now but will certainly be keeping my S500i in Contrasted Copper. Something about the phone that I like

Not having the K850 doesn't really bother me atm as I can easily go out and buy another when I want to but will hold out on getting one until near the final firmware is released.
Also got my eye on the W980

So, how is the N2 working then?
Isn't the battery pretty bad?

I'll be picking it up on Sunday off another Esato member. Have read quite a few positive reviews of the N2 and not many bad ones. I also read that the battery has been improved as well.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose
