@jn: don't even go there!
she is a short, "plus size" woman in her forties, can be a right b*tch when she has a mind to be, and can be inappropriately crude at times. she's one of those people who'll work a 60 hour week and only claim 40 "for the good of the company" while expecting everyone to do the same, and has no social life that anyone can determine other than that associated with work.
having said all that, i do now generally get along ok with her but it took a while to work out the dynamic. in some respects i feel sorry for her because she has nothing outside of work, hence her "live to work, not work to live" mentality.

Hiya all. I'm back after a nice couple of weeks on my honeymoon, and spending the last week shifting into the unit my wife and I will be living in until our house is built.
Honeymoon was awesome - 7 nights on a small island resort spent snorkeling, bushwalking, golf, sunbaking and reading by the pool/beach and generally being as lazy as possible with the occasionalcocktail. Also met a nice Canadian couple who came to the island to get married. Only downer was losing my wedding ring while snorkelling over coral on the second day. the island was followed by 4 nights in Sydney, spent walking and dining around Darling Harbour and Circular Quay, seeing both "The Lion King" and "We Will Rock You", and a day trip to the Blue Mountains. Not much else to say really since the entire point of the trip was to do nothing.
Have now officially moved in to our (temporary) unit, since both the TV aerial and phone connection have been installed. Hence, I now have interweb access again and thus this entry.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas/New Year period. Just a bit shitty I have to go back to work on Thursday (the day after Australia Day).
oh yeah - i also got my car back from the panel beater.

HOORAY!!
Finally got to move desks. I am now on a completely different floor, and nobody can seem my PC screen unless they walk past. Only issue is that I'm in a fairly high-traffic area right next to the office kitchen and there are (still) no partitions. All in all, it's still an improvement if only slight.

@gelfen - Now, since you made mention that your desk is just near your office's - kitchen, it is but prudent to say that you'll be caught (more often now than ever before) accessing - the Esato website Unless, most of your office mates are on a - HUNGER strike !

my screen faces away from the kitchen, but i have to beware of people walking past to access the kitchen. however, the lack of partitioning means i'm not completely blinded to their approach.

we picked up the proofs from the wedding photographer last night, and they came out damn fine. now we have to pore over them to select the shots for the album and to take orders for friends and family. progress at last!

@gelfen - So, 'newer' set of pics will be seen here (posted) That's one thing that I liked in you mate, you are quite candid in emitting your wedding pics - the smileys just works fine I am more focused in seeing the ambience and the cars that were used as well, unlike the others who keeps them 'PRIVATE' , maybe they have *&^% faces I really liked the vintage cars paraded before the wedding pal Were they rented or being offered by family members/friends to be used by the entourage

i won't be able to put them on because they are prints, not softcopy (unless i can find a really good scanner somewhere).
and the cars were hired for the day.

@gelfen - Hmmm . . . why don't you just 'pm' to me the pics - direct mate, with no smileys attached So I can see the beautiful faces of the " bride's maids " are they all already taken/committed pal
