Wait for the Z3C, just 2-3 months away if you can wait. Bigger display, same size, improvements and stuff.

Depends how long you can wait. Although the Z3C is coming soon, Sony hasn't had a great track record for on-time availability.
The Z1C is a great phone. Happy with mine and won't be upgrading anytime soon. Either way, I would wait til the Z3C comes out then decide. When it does come out, prices of the Z1C should drop and you can choose if the differences are worth the extra cash on the Z3C. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I believe AnTuTu 5 has a new benchmark algorithm that produces significantly higher final results than the previous version.

Must be,last test I've done to it with the older version was 36,029.
With this new version I've done 5 tests, all above 41,000 and my phone was on the second place, behind the M8t (43287)
p.s.
Just to piss the M8t off i've done one more test and passed it!

Same here, my Z1 Compact also got 41K+ points and is second behind the M8t.
Edit: Apparently you not anymore. Congrats !

Have purchased a Z1C last weekend for testing. Battery result after my first charge:
2 days using, 10+h DOT, WiFi allday on, night flightmode, some short calls, watching some clips, a bit web and mostly whatsup, display lowest brightness automatic on. Very efficient device.

My Z1C on lollipop has become slow when I have a number of apps running, I frequently have to clear those apps now. There is also a drop in battery life, not happy about that but it is still much better than other devices. I use my SW3 a lot so I don't take my phone out much at work. The phone heats up during Scrabble which is new to me, seems like lollipop is quite intensive on the hardware, KK was pretty much perfect for my device. |
