someone from tigo told me they have an internet tariff plan where you pay 1 cedi and some coins to browse the whole day unlimited. Anybody else heard any such thing? |

I also heard something lyke that and also da activation fee (according to a friend) is GH 90. But why not contact customer helpline to clear the air? But am more interested in zain's data plan. 500mb for 25cedis

well i think zain 500mb for 25 cedis is quite expensive if you should consider it why not get the bes from vodafone broadband if you have a pc at home and love to download from the net i think it is 40cedis a month and no restriction in data size to use |

Yeah , its quite expensive but, am not using it yet. Now they're running limited data plan and according to them unlimited data plan is on the way! I'm waiting 4 that(7.2mbits per sec.). I dont think vodafone's 40cedis a month is bad but, I know their link is down most of the time. By the way this thread is supposed to be for free internet but it seems that is forgotten for now or ppl just don't want to share what they have. I am constantly searching da net for techniques and am sure dat I will soon get a solution. Mtn just sent internet settings to everybody! This means a lot! |

why is mtn lying about being the network with the widest 3g coverage. if it's true then i doubt they're talking about Accra. Because i've tried both Zain and mtn and i know zain has wider coverage in Accra. |

To get mtn internet, send an empty txt to 686. You must have credit anyway. After roshing us with their internet for all this time, competition is making them loosen up. Bloody idiots! |

hafqo i just wanted to find out if just sending the txt to 686 your chip gets registered with the gprs service or you need to go to their office and pay that 5cedis thing to get the gprs service. |

dont know the details but is the most expensive
tigo browsing
77.50 cedis for data chip and activation(u have to get ur own modem)
then 1.40cedis for every day browsing
vodaphone
40 cedis every month for browsing. dont know about the modem
zain
25 cedis for 250mb (i am not kidding)
40 cedis for 1gb

A point of correction.zain has the following bundle package:500mb=Gh25,Unlimited browsing=Gh60. I have tried the mtn 3.5g service and i must say is fast,I was able to stream video on youtube and other websites.This is not possible to stream youtube video on zain.I have complained several times to zain without any solution.A lousy so called IT expert at the zain office at Tudu arrogantly told me that there was nothing he could do to rectify the problem.Mtn should also introduce internet bundle packages for pre pay customers and I will quickly switch to those bundles.By the way,I use sonyericsson P990 and I dont want to be told that the phone is not modern phone.see you guys
