i hardly think you can compare santa claus with some guy trolling about a forum full of angry and upset K850 users. Im still waiting to hear this great insider info which he is teasing us with.

Wow, chill out with your excessive e-motions ! It's really not that nice to bash on other members, as long as they don't attack you personally.
Explain to your fellow members why you, plus and handfull of other spineless members team up against Mizzle and bitch out like a handfull of dicks ( That could be misinterpreted)?
I don't really give a damn about what your intentions were, just grow the hell up, I mean...the word that Mizzle got could also have been non-trustworthy and unreliable, so Mizzle probably just did you all a favour and dropped a few lines about certain issues/rumors and such. Now bashing because they might've been busted rumors e-motional bitch move.
Feel me? No? Then shut up.

And just to get back on T: The hell is the firmware!? I do have some issues with my device, and I really hope that this mythological firmware becomes reality some day.

You can't drop smug comments like that and all of them fall through without your 'reputation' for being a good source being damaged.

 | It is quite amusing that the people arguing against the flaming cant write without flaming the people they are criticizing.
 how ironic.

now where's the firmware? If Mizzle is all he says he is then please enlighten us and give us more info...

 | Why in the world would someone at a Customer care Center know when a new firmware will be out. They only know IF a new firmware is out. Those people have nothing to do with the development of a firmware.
WTF is wrong with you people, never worked in a big company?

 lol ...

But Mizzle doesnt work at a call centre or care centre or early learning.

He appears to be a freelance journo... so how exactly is he gonna "burn s/e arse"???

Out of everything I'd love to have the "last night everything changed" quote explained ...

We are all in the same boat. I love my s/e K850 but would like the problems ironed out ... so bring on the firmware and lets knock the insults and fiction on the head.

 | Anyway...
I spent some time with a Nokia N82 over the weekend...

Nice phone, lots of features! But here is my opinion on it.

 - Takes awesome photo's, but the camera user interface is not as fast as the K850i Cybershot interface
 - Flash works nicely
 - Takes 3-5 seconds to save shots at 5MP (My K850i does this in 1-1.5 secs)
 - Nice build quality, but I still think the K850i looks better
 - Battery life is horrible (less than 1 day of power use: 2 hrs of calls, 30-40 pics with flash, 15 sms', 2 hrs of web browsing, GPS and WiFi turned off as well)

So far, the N82 takes better shots than the K850i. Hopefully, a firmware update for the K850i will sort this out. The time taken to save shots and the horrible battery life doesn't work for me, so I am happy with my K850i. I don't need GPS or WiFi so those extra features don't matter to me.

These 2 phones remind me of the N73 vs the K800i... the N73 took brilliant photo's but the firmware was horrible and slow and it would crash alot. The K800i still came out on top.

I believe SE will deliver awesome firmware for the K850i. I understand why they haven't done so already, look at the new X1, C and G ranges. That's what they have been busy doing.

Patience is a virtue.... that most people don't have...

I agree with both sides. Mizzle seems to relish attention and give the perception of being an insider but not contributing what so ever. All the flamers however, need to understand that this is the internet and anyone can say what he/she feels (to a certain extent). You guys don't have to pay attention to his posts if you find him not credible, flaming will only make you look foolish.

 i couldn't agree more.

if you don't give mizzle the credit then just ignore his posts, i personally do give him credit and think he's a respected member so i woul keep paying attention to his posts here and on his blog.

Stop releasing your frustrations for the FW not coming out by insulting and offending members, there are more mature and polite ways of doing it.

 SO F**K YOU !!!

sorry but i am a little stressed myself it is monday

Well i think that the name "customer care center" defenately should mean that they have a clue about something that are extremely closely related to a product- or rather IS a significant part of a product like the firmware is.

I don't really care about i they don't have that kind of interaction within a company or want to have it, i say they bloody well should have it so we, the customers, will know when we can excpect to get crucial updates. And if they can't give an excact date-just say so. And/or let us know if something gets delayed.
I would have been fairly satisfied(for a while) with the answer- "we don't know when it will be out but we are working on it". But by now it has taken to much time for me to be happy and peachy with an answer like that i just examplyfied.

The thing is they have been really hinting(i'm talking about the info about update on the SE page where they present some accesories) that an update would be out in januari and then tells us it will be out in week 6 and they told me that no delayes was foreseed. The reason i think we can be so picky about this is that they have released such a crappy firmware in the first place!

For me it would have been okey if the firmware was pretty ok from the start but a minor addition or adjustment was on the way then i could have be a lot calmer and forgiving and patient!

 | So Tonchy, you are saying that we should stop using the forums for their intended purpose? This is a place to learn but it's also a place to express our frustration and dissatisfaction with a product, in this case SE's K850i. When someone comes along and makes bold statements as if they know what's going on and those statements REPEATEDLY are PROVEN to be wrong by the lack of follow-through, what else can we do but point out a sham? Mizzle doesn't know squat about when this firmware is coming out or what it's going to include PERIOD! If he does, he feels too high and mighty to share any REAL information with the rest of us lay-men and all he's given us is misinformation. Smoke and mirrors is all I see so far. |

 | Something tells me that if this thread goes anymore off topic. A certain mod will end up locking it.
Mizzle has given some good info in the past and has been helpful in other parts of the forum. He/she can only say so much depending on what info he/she actually has. Maybe he/she is limiting what they are saying about things due to it being confidential or sketchy details (Some employers do view/read their employees internet usage and the places they have been to and have been found to have leaked information they shouldn't have.

Mizzle was correct about a certain firmware release. Namely 039 (For Hutch-World/3 Branded K850's) so there is something to what he/she is saying.

I have a K850 as well and I'm also somewhat dissappointed with how the phone works. But hey, it makes calls and sends texts which is the basis of a phone. All the extra is added on. We all had a choice when we handed over our money/signed into another lenghty network subscription.

Live with it and be patient people.
did well with the final K750 and K800 imo and I cant see them leaving this one.
I do agree that the end user shouldn't be receiving faulty items but its like anything you buy. A brand new car for example. Things can still go wrong with one just as much as an older model. End of the day theres a warranty. If the fault is covered. return the item for repair/replacement.

 | But...i didn't buy my phone just to make calls and send sms..so i have myself to blame? Buhuhuhu I demand it to work, maybe with some minor glitches, as specified! They have taken too much time to fix this and that's the real issue here.
