Well C doesn't necessarily mean a candybar phone like the K series phones did, so I think that is quite possible. Though I'm only speculating

i guess so bavlondon2.
have bolder, bigger ideas now.
If the imaging flagship phones of before was confined to the candy bar form factor (except for S700), we will be seeing Cybershot phones in various forms this year
and that is really great news

Yes, the C-series would now be like the W-series. Its not confined to a particular form factor. I believe this is the reason they changed from K... So they don't have to stick to candybars

Wow i only just noticed that SEs announcment today??????? OMG nice!!!!!
What a great way to spend my Sunday evening. No doubt ill be in a foul mood later when Liverpool get thrashed by Chavski so this will cheer me right up. I really hope it looks something like that S0905ICS, especially the camera lens system.
At what time will this be GMT?

@Crossmatched: Yeah that might happen. But K is said to stand for the Swedish word for Camera: Kamera. So this may be the end of K series phones! Unless the K series will remain for non-Cybershot camera phones.
Well, I'm off now. Enjoy the announcement guys and gals.

Wow this is definatley the place to be. Ive always gone back to SE in te past but in recent times they have dissapointed. I hope they give me something to shout about later. I really want a nice camera phone but none so far have impressed me. This K850 facelift phone should be nice.
Does anyone know if it is meant to have xenon of LED flash?

imo could keep the k series keep going on in the line of web access phones such as the k660 because then web access phones have a set series the same as all other phone types such a cybershot and walkman currently do. I believe using the index for web phones would make sense from the point of view of , as it stops them entirely killing an index of phones.
