I purchased a 64MB card from Komplett for a pretty good price, only to find that my MMC reader wouldn't work with it.
So after contacting support about this, they say that the MP3 player only supports 32MB cards. But I think this is more of the MMC reader only supports 32MB cards as you guys are all using 128MB cards in the MP3 player. Just need to get myself a decent MMC reader as the one you get if rubbish. |

Psykotik: If your still looking for somewhere to buy the MP3 player from try the EShop on the sonyericsson web site, suprisingly they sometimes have good prices on accessories. Last time I checked the MP3 player was just under 30 (GBP). I got mine for about 35(GBP) from expansys but Im not sure Id buy from them again as their customer service wasnt what I expected when I had a faulty reader.
Ive pretty much given up on the reader that came with the player and got a Sandisk USB reader that takes the MMC and SD cards. But then I also have a digital camera that takes the same cards so it was a bit easier to justify spending out on a new reader.

Wrong. Also the PP Reader supports the 128 Mb card. OK, it takes a while 2 fill the 128 Mb, but it works!! Use the newest drivers. You should get the link on this site. It`s a little bit tricky with Win2k or XP, but ist works. Under 9x its no problem at all!

Cheers guys, youve been very helpful. Id be buggered without your suggestions, as i an getting the mp3 player for the trip to college every morning as its an hour and a half of bus noise and boredom otherwise! Now thanks to you guys i can listen to all my favourite choons.

You won't regret the decision! But take a 128 Mb Card as well. Otherwise you will listen to your songs a little bit too often during your 1 1/2 hours

well someone earlier mentuoned an mp3pro site and said that it desn't work on the HPM-10. well sorry but , mp3's and mp3pro are back to back compatible, the sound will just sound deeper, whcih can be fixed using the treble bass contorls on the phone. |

I just got it from the Sony Ericsson website http://www.sonyericsson.com/uk for only £30. If you're using windows 2000 you'll need the new driver available from the support pages as the one on the CD ROM doesn't work with Windows 2000.
I got a 128MB MMC from http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmodule.asp?module=MultiMediaCard&Attrib=Package&cat= for only £48 including postage and tax. They said I could return it free of charge if it doesn't work in the player.
I recommend using real one player, free from http://www.realone.com as it finds artist, title and track listing (when you are connected to the net) for CDs that you save on your hard drive. You can choose what audio format to save the music as (MP3 for this player) and also the bit rate. I reduced it to 56k and got about 20 tracks on the 32MB card, but with the 128 MB card you could probably get a couple of hours worth of near CD quality music. |

Read a lot about probs with the headphone jack and I had the same prob, it was wobbly, didn't activate the mic or the sound was shite. I just read on another post that you really need to shove the jack in real hard, don't worry about feeling like you're forcing it cos it really does need a good shove. Then it will work as a handsfree and the sound is excellent. |

Is there any reports on 128 MB MMC that doesnt work with the MP3-Player or are all in the market available cards functioning?

I have used PDC 128MB cards with no problems at all. I have used varied 64MB cards and again no problems at all.
Also why do SE still provide a rather rubish Reader surely they should be providing USB ? although on this note as they are moving to Memory Stick for the P800 yet another reader required.
I have a PQI 7 in one reader from Ebay that was "cheap as Chips" and works very well.
I have used Musicmatch to rip CD to MP3 and this again works very well, just the same as Real Player but I prefer Music Match for the added recording benifits

It might be reasonable supplying that parallel mmc reader since it was designed three years ago. It was not possible getting usb or pc card adaptor with low price that year. Moving to memory stick because of sony, although not everyone like it.
