i tried changing it to ACC... and got a 5.2MB file to 3.3MB...

@kingcobraz, go lower, say 64kbps. If you can compress the mp3 to half it's size and still like the quality, then you can probably get more out of AAC. |

MAx, i reckon that with the encoder i gave from dbpoweramp the "sweet spot" is 96kbs, but 80kbs and 64kbs are also acceptable
I never liked itunes buil encoder though...never got the as good results as with dbpoweramp + CLI encoder |

@Arez, yeah I personally prefer 96 also (I use dbpoweamp too). I can see how some people could listen to lower, but some songs just fall apart (especially strong bass). I tried some songs on 48 and lower but most sounded too crap.
U might be able to do it on a per song basis, but I just stick to 96.
Hey, good move on the K750 dude.

Hi,
I use itunes to encode to mp4, it offers the best encoding and is also free.
For videos i convert all to 3gp using the nokia video converter which i got from bearshare. Just use these 2 and you will never have 2 worry about settings etc.

@Arez, good thinking!
I'll do the same as soon as the W800 becomes available (I want the flight mode feature - it would be very handy to me being able to turn the phone off at times but still have music)
