Yes, and they say they'll have it on 30th June - no good !
I asked in CPW today, and the guy told me they'd have the phone within the next week or two, at a price of £299.99 in the UK.
So, hopefully by Friday or Monday next week it'll be out !

Rang O2 online today to talk about getting my phone upgrade, they told me, 3rd week of June for the K750i. So looks like we've still got a while to wait!
Good news is that im 'elegible' for an upgrade to the K750i. |

Worth mentioning is, it takes longer for the networks to get the phone, than if bought sim free.

Sim free is so temping, but i'm due an upgrade on my phone so i should be able to get it for free.
Those prices in the 02 brochure look really good - £250 on PAYG and £300 sim free, i can't believe such a high-spec phone would be this cheap, but then i suppose its market competitivness. |

Im thinking whether to save the extra £50.00 and getting it on paysugo rather then sim free... does anybody know whether o2 brand there phones?
If they don't then i could always get it and then unlock it. |

Not only that, but the K750i is aimed at the youth market, just like the T610 and K700i before it.
The S700i was aimed at the older market, for people who're able to buy such costly, expensive phones.
Before you do upgrade your contracts though, work out whether it would be cheaper to buy the phone for £300 sim free, or cheaper if you consider the total cost of a 12 month contract.
For example, a £50 per month contract adds up to £600 per year, for that, you could buy 2 K750i's, or buy one and have £300 PAYG topup.
Contracts might seem cheap, but after 12 months, they can soon cost more than buying sim free.

dont forget the free calls/sms you get with a contract phone that you would have to buy sim free or buy a contract sim
still worth looking at the sim free option but also look at contract |

Was in the o2 shop today and the salesperson told me that they think it's going to be a while before the phone is available to pay as you go customers - she was comparing it to one of the Nokia phones where it came out about a year ago and just recently became available as pay as you go... can't remember the model number of the Nokia.
She also said that the phone should be available next week. |

That's how it is with most phones.. i just figured that if they're already showing how much it is on paysugo then maybe it'll be released earlier this year.
The k700 was released on paysugo a good 6 or 7 months before released simfree.
@etaab
In what way are there phonesbranded?
Most people i know used to just get o2 phones and then unlock them becasue o2 dont usually brand.
Ahh well it was only an idea; i guess i'll just be sticking to my original plan and buying it simfree, atleast in a years time i'll be able to sell for more.

O2 don't lock their phones. But they may have minimal branding on them. i.e. the K700 had an O2 icon instead of the SE one in the main menu. There's also an undeletable but changeable theme.

It depends on the contract however. I get more SMS for my money using an O2 online PAYG sim (300 per month) than my old O2 contract (50 per month).
I use all 300 easily each month, so on contract it was costing me an absolute fortune in added charges for SMS. Also, the tiny amount of talk time barely gave me more minutes for my money than my PAYG.
@ sheringham,
O2 only every branded things like the odd icon, a theme, a startup screen and maybe the odd picture or ringtone. However, on a friends S700i, he has a stupid O2 video he cant delete which takes up something like 500kb !
O2 are starting to brand phones more heavily now, and lock some too.

yes it does depend on contract but even payas you go is a cost you have to add to a sim free phone.
if the phone is £300 sim free and you top up £10 a month total cost over 1 year is £420
so thats why i point out look at both options sim free is nt always as cheap
plus with contract your getting to speard the cost of the phone intrest free over 12 months sim free is a one off hit |
