The P800 is nice and all but its a bit big and most of all will probably be too expensive when it first comes out.
The reason the T68i email client doesnt work is because TM doesnt support it. Only way to log onto pop email is through gprs. At least thats my understanding about it.

Do you mean using T-Mobile's method of popping the mail to their server and reading it via WAP? That sucks! My old Sprint phone and Yahoo mail could do that 3 years ago. I wanted to pop my mail directly to my phone so I could read it offline, which is what my understanding of the e-mail client was. Any chance that T-Mobile will enable this anytime in the future? |

Actually, although T-Mobile doesn't support retrieving email via the pop client on the phone, I was able to make it work by setting up a separate data account that uses the internet2 APN but DNS from a different provider. Works great. I have no idea why T-mobile's DNS server just can't seem to find anything. |

Yes I forgot to mention that you can log into your isp using CSD and use the email client to get your email. I know that still sucks but thats your only option. |

I'm not sure what CSD is, but I am getting the email via GPRS and using the email client on the phone (not the wap browser). If you have access to DNS other than through T-mobile, its worth giving it a try. |

@vy and others...
If you're using an APN or DNS from another provider... what are they? Please post.
Thanks! |

I got the email client to work by entering the IP address of the mail server instead of the DNS address. IE: instead of mail.yahoo.com you would enter 66.163.171.128. To easily convert a DNS to IP go here... http://baremetal.com/cgi-bin/dnsip |

I do not understand all the confusion...does anyone have a contact or no personally what is t-mobiles issue with the T68i...
-One person says T-mobile is not going to offer T68i.
-Then another person says they are only releasing in CA & NV.
-Yet another states they got theirs off of Amazon.
-Then another says t-mobile offers the T68i in a small town in FL.
Anyone else have frustration and confusion over this? PLEASE, someone with some TRULY reliable information respond. Thanks |

Sony Ericsson claimed that T68i has a talking time of 13++ hours. Any T68i user here can tell me how long the actual talking time is? Thanks.. |

Okay -
I called my local TMobile rep in Dallas and they said that they ARE NOT going to sell the 68i; however, as we all know their network will support it. They are going to carry the 68m until they sell out and will not restock.
Bummer. Maybe I should look into the 7210 instead.

Is it true T-Mobile will offer MMS in Q4 2002? When I called them they weren't sure when it will be available. I am very eager to start sending MMS. |

MrSavoy> when I access MMS in my phone menu the option to send a message is grayed out. Did you have to configure your phone first? |
