anyone have any insider info on when Voicetream will be selling the T68i (blue & silver) ? I would like to get the heavy dicount by buying from Voicestream becuase of my account history with them. I should be able to buy the handset for around $150 when they start selling it. Anyone know WHEN??

spyder you can already get t68i for very cheap in the US with voicestream plan. I live in NY and any wireless store you go in to they sell them with VS plans, you can get them for around $250 with plan and around $380 without plan, they sell the t68m for about $100 cheaper, so you might want to just get an "m" and upgrade it to "i"

T-Mobile in SoCal and Nevada will not be selling the T68m, but jump right to the T68i. According to the Regional Manager of T-Mobile I talked to last week in Los Angeles, they have the T68i (and apparently 2 other new phones, one being another Motorola) 'on the books' for the end of October. No word on pricing though or allocation (i.e. who gets it first, how many etc.)

Not sure if you bought the t-68i yet but I got my in July in So Cal while it was hard to find. 250+tax from http://www.calcellular.com/ Cal cellular. they have their HQ in MOnterey Park just 1 mile away from my place. good service. btw, it is an unlocked phone. btw, just visited their site and seem the price is lower right now.. but still above 200 bucks.

My another friend bought a T68i in early July in NYC Chinatown. good deal for 175 with voicestream 1 year contract. unlocked and no one carried any t68i (offically.. aka. locked phone) in NYC and LA at that time.

I am a T-Mobile Dealer, the T68i will not be relased on the T-Mobile network. They had a lot of problems with the T68m so they are not gonna pick up the T68i. But they are picking up the T300. T-Mobile ordered about 50,000 units of the T300. So the best bet, get a T68m while you still can and upgrade it when it becomes avalible.

Thats sad to hear about the T68 m or i. Its a great phone and Tmobile is doing an injustice to their customers no carrying those phones anymore. I just got the T68m 2 weeks ago from a TM store here on Long Island in NY and I love it. Especially with the upgrade I just got on it to the T68i. This phone rocks. Very sad indeed for TM.

Btw I paid 300 for the phone from the TM store and got a 200.00 credit on my TM account. Net cost to me was 100.00. I now have a T68m->t68i for 100 bucks brand new. I have been with VS/TM for 3 years thats why I got a 200.00 credit toward the purchase. I am happy. Try to take advantage ofthis phone while it's available guys. You wont be disappointed.

the T-mobile forum at howardforums states that they are indeed selling the T68i, it seems in fact that the T-mobile stores in california already have them in display..

I got my t68i for T-Mobile the other day from Amazon (Before they stopped selling them) for a net cost of $50. That included a $200 rebate from Amazon and a $50 rebate from T-Mobile.

The guy in the T-Mobile store was really surprised that I had one already when I went by to see if they carried any holsters for it yet. I can't remember the date he said they were going to get them in stock was but it's sometime in the next week or so.

It's a great little phone. I wish there was stronger signal in my house but my office and everywhere else is great. The sound quality even with a weak signal is rock solid for me as well.

I got mine in the mail from Amazon this week, too -- same deal. So far, so good (except some problems configuring the Bluetooth, but that's my fault).

There were problems initially with getting onto the web with the phone -- when I called T-Mobile customer support, the guy in the Wireless Data Group said they'd had calls all day from Amazon people trying to get on the web, and walked me through the setup.

You guys got the deal of the year on Amazon - congrats! Worth a little hassle I'd say. Too bad it isn't available anymore...
