Doesn't it change profiles, even if this accesory is selected in the "Accesories" setting of the profiles?

You know, it's 'loaded' in the phone but... doesn't it work?

Thanks.

nope.

the only reaction the phone has when connected to the CDS-60 is:

if the phone is on: a message saying optimised charging

if the phone is off: the phone lights up and you first see the sony ericsson name and logo, then a message saying charging, then the lights all go off again

If you look at the 'office' profile, there is an accessory listed there called 'desktop charger'. I purchased the CDS-60 hoping this was the desktop charger and it would cause my phone to the 'office' profile, but alas...
Anyone know what a desktop charger is?

It's when you plug the charger that came with the phone, and you put in the table. Just as you do that, the profile get changed. And then, when you pick it up, the phone detects it's not over a desktop any more (the charger), so it goes back to the previous profile...

LOL!

JK; don't know what it's suppose to mean!

I have discovered another disadvantage: When your take the phone out of the stand, it freezes for a few seconds; no input possible at all.
Hence, if it rings when it is in the stand, and you take it out, you cannot answer the call for a few seconds. very annoying... Maybe firmware-related? Anyone else with this problem?

since this is just a stand into which you plug the standard USB cable, and the stand itself does not interfere with the connection between the phone and the cable, its just the same as you plugging the cable into the phone directly

so yes, you can do SEUS

Another question...

Do you leave your phone all day, 24 hs, whatever 'docked' there? Wouldn't it ruin the battery? I know it kinda doesn't matter for lithium/nickel ones but... I'm aprensive of leaving it charging forever!

Because if you leave it there all the time, then It would be a nice accessory since you'll always have your phone fully loaded

IMHO people spend far too much time worrying unneccessarily about phone batteries these days but, to answer the question, I leave mine on the CDS-60 all night every night and most of the weekend when I am at home.

Remember that the phone has full control over the charging.

I always remind people in threads such as this about phones plugged into in car kits. They can be on there for hours on end and every day if you job involves driving but I don't ever remember seeing a warning saying that you should remove the phone from the in car kit after x amount of time.

no, just stick it on and forget it

@masseur
Have you experienced any wear & tear on the CDS-60? I have my phone it all day, so the connector has become a bit loose. The K750i end is fine, if I plug in the power cable directly or the USB cable, or headset, it fits just like new, it's the CDS-60 that's become a bit loose.
